Our Rate My Team tool and the associated Projections enjoyed an extensive update overnight as we applied tweaked player appearance probabilities based on the pre-season matches.

Further updates are planned today once Andre Ayew is moved to the West Ham squad and Paul Pogba arrives in the game.

We will also be updating the team attack and defence ratings based on the current bookmaker market trends.

Indeed, both Rate My Team and the Projections are likely to be tweaked on a daily basis as further team news breaks over the week. If you’re using these tools, be sure to check back each day to see how the changes reflect on your current selections.

        You should read into that stat. 15 apps for Boro and 7 goals from Feb-May. One of their most important players this season. Nailed in the starting XI as long as he is fit.

    Last season, when the chips were introduced for the first time, I was poised to use my All Out Attack chip in GW1.

    All of the fixtures were favourable for my attacking players, when inputted into the RMT tool. In the end I decided I should be much more pragmatic, and save it for when I injuries were mounting in my defence to save me a 4 point transfer. I benched my 5th mid. Choosing my 5th mid had been a tussle between Mahrez and Albrighton (both finished the previous season very strongly), who were 5.5m and 5m respectively, and having freed up enough funds I plumped with Mahrez, who stayed in my team the entire season.

    I had 15 points on the bench in GW1, and no one else failed to play, so those 15 points remained on the bench, wasted. Incidentally, when I did finally use my AOA chip, it saved me 1 point. And even though I didn’t have to make a 4 point transfer, I did still have to use my free transfer the following week, and so delayed another transfer in midfield that I had been planning. So it probably ended up costing me points.

    My advice is not to use the AOA chip when your defence is weak, this is a very negative strategy. Rather we should use this in a positive attacking sense, when our entire midfields have tasty fixtures ad are on top form. We have all had those times when we cannot decide which of our front 8 to bench – it is at this time the AOA chip should be used.

      If you are going with that attack (I'm considering similar) would downgrade Demari to a 4.5m bench fodder and roll with a 4-3-3 ... Think you'll get more value out of a 4.5m defender than D. gray who isn't nailed
