Our Rate My Team tool and the associated Projections enjoyed an extensive update overnight as we applied tweaked player appearance probabilities based on the pre-season matches.

Further updates are planned today once Andre Ayew is moved to the West Ham squad and Paul Pogba arrives in the game.

We will also be updating the team attack and defence ratings based on the current bookmaker market trends.

Indeed, both Rate My Team and the Projections are likely to be tweaked on a daily basis as further team news breaks over the week. If you’re using these tools, be sure to check back each day to see how the changes reflect on your current selections.

If you’re not using these tools and are wondering how they can help you, we’ve got an FAQ on both of them here.

Meanwhile, late last week we created an updated movie previewing both Rate My Team and the Projections.

These tools are accessible as part of the Fantasy Football Scout Membership. This is currently available for the pre-season price of £12.50 (RRP £15.00).

Users with free accounts can upgrade via this link, while new users can register as members here.

Firmino will get minutes up top and is a more natural goalscorer so he's an easy pick over Alli.

Hazard again might play up front in the 4-2-4 (although more likely off the left in the 4-1-4-1) but he is simply a better player. He had a poor season but that's behind him. He was class in the last 5 weeks and then the Euros and he has awesome fixtures. Teams will sit back against Leicester a lot more so Mahrez will score less

Gday ladies and gents. How do you think my team looks?

    De Gea
    Bellerin Morgan Moreno
    Mkhitaryan Willian Mahrez Dier
    Negredo Vardy Ibra
    mahrez is captain

    Subs
    Valdez Evans Oviedo Tarkowski
    Cheers!

If you're playing De Gea I'd go for a £4m goalkeeper, you aren't going to rotate him.
I'd worry about having Bellerin in with Arsenal's central defensive issues.
Dier is a holding midfielder, would look elsewhere.
Moreno and Negredo likely to be rotation risks. Would look at other options of you want guaranteed starters.
Brave to go without Aguero, sure you don't want him in your team?

    2. David Juan
      • 9 Years
      9 years, 8 months ago

      Honestly... Not great.

Bellerin at 6.5m when Arsenal have no fit centre backs is expensive. Look at Stones or Williams...

Moreno is a liability, as is the Liverpool defence. Their attack however is exceptional so that defeats the point in having Bellerin (GW1) but could offer the Firmino/Mane alternative to Mkhitaryan.

Dier is a not a good source of points now he's now classed as a midfielder... Willian is not a guaranteed starter either and Mahrez is badly out of form.

And a team without Aguero is a team that needs to be improved.

      Does this help mate?

No worries. There are so many options this year it's ridiculous... Kun is a MUST, however!!!

Re: Mkhitaryan - he's an unproven quantity in a team that can source points from Ibra, Rooney, Martial, Lingard, Rashford, maybe Pogba, maybe Mata... It's too much of a risk IMO.

For the same price or less, you could get the proven Payet, Ozil, Silva or Eriksen for example... You already have Mahrez and against a Hull team riddled with injuries you don't know what he may bring to the party...

No right or wrong answers pal, just a lot of question marks in the original draft. How's it looking now?

Im sticking with mkhitaryan because he had the most assists in the bundesliga last year so.... Imo he is proven and we spent enough money on him to get a game each week.

Took out ibra and put in Kun
            Have alderweild in defence now
Keeping willian in there as he can get a fewassists in there aswell even the cheeky free kicks

    RMT please:
    Foster - Jakupovic
    Shaw - Stones - Cedric - Kone - Souare
    Sanchez - Willian - Lamela - Redmond - Capoue
    Aguero - Ibrahimovic - Gray

Hate not having Hazard in and also want to replace Lamela for Townsend, since the later seems more explosive.

Who scores more in the first five weeks, Firmino or Vardy?

I'm all for a balanced team, but I'm leaning toward Vardy and Ramirez over Firmino and a random (6.5) forward. Once Firmino's fixtures get juicy in GW6 and Vardy's turn sour around the same time, it just takes two FTs to reverse them.

Is this sound, or is a Kun, Kane, Vardy front line just overkill?

Swansea to crash and burn this season. Fer has just lost the player most likely to earn him a few assists and will struggle. 5m is cheap but would rather stretch to Can, Ibe or Zaha

I think I'd want to see if Koeman rotates his wide men as much as Martinez did before I put him in my team.
Had a good start to last year though so could be a risk worth taking if he starts off well again.

Sagna likely to be a rotation risk.
Antonio listed as midfielder but playing as a right back, would avoid.
Will Hojbjerg start and if he does will be score points?
Think you should downgrade from Sagna and use the money to upgrade Hojbjerg.

Thanks Joeski - that's really useful advice! Going to think about Sagna, Antonio, HojBjerg and Ibe.

First post here. Been using FFS for the past 2 years and is the best community out there!

    RMT please 🙂

    Valdes - Foster
    Valencia - Azpi - Souare - Kone - Amat
    Hazard - Mahrez - Deulofeu - Routledge - Capoue
    Aguero - Ibrahimovic - Gray

I know Souare is doubtful waiting till the weekend to get a sense of whether he will be fit enough to play else thinking of another Crystal palace defender. Also is Amat nailed on or would be a better bet to choose Kingsley(feel rotation risk with Rangel)?
Feel the mid-field is a bit weak. Any suggestions? Was thinking of downgrading Azpi --> Terry & possibly one of Mahrez --> Mane or Ibra --> Kane and getting a 1.0 in the bank. Can upgrade Routledge then.

I have always started the season slow so any help in the team would be of great help. Thanks guys!

Love the strike force (because it's the same as mine) but would tweak that midfield because I wouldn't want to rely on Routledge.
I'd consider downgrading Azpi to a £5m defender or Mahrez to free up some cash

Another RMT blah blah blah but please feel free to leave your advice, thanks! 🙂

    Foster (Jaku);
    Valencia, Terry, Baines (Friend, Amat);
    Townsend, Barkley, Redmond, Hazard (Feghouli);
    Kun, Ibra, Gray

Zilch in the back. Really happy with this team though.

If you're happy then you're happy by personally I'd downgrade Terry to Stones, Feghoulin to a £4.5m and upgrade Redmond to Tadic. That way of Redmond starts well you can easily downgrade, if the experiment fails you've got a near enough certain starter on set pieces in Tadic.
Only recommending downgrading Feghouli because I doubt I'd be looking for him to start in the first few game weeks and frees up some cash.
