Dugout Discussion – Hull vs Leicester

Spare a thought for Mike Phelan.

Already the Hull City caretaker manager seems to be unfurling the white flag, even before Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez get their first run at his patched-up defence.

The first Dugout Discussion of the Premier League season could witness one of the most one-sided opening fixtures in memory.

Champions Leicester turn up at the KCOM Stadium off the back of the FA Community Shield defeat to Manchester United but surely still brimming with confidence and optimism following the triumphant campaign.

Certainly they bring plenty of talent and pace – heightened by the presence of Ahmed Musa and Demarai Gray on their teamsheet. That might just prove too much, even for a spirited Hull City showing.

Stranger things have happened, though. Just ask Claudio Ranieri.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Bold prediction. Almost as difficult to predict as Leicester winning the league last year.

People need to remember Leicester were always regarded as the comeback specialists, they actually played better 1-0 down last season

Exactly - I hate comments like this from those who are expressing what they want to happen for their own FPL convenience, rather than what is actually likely to happen.

He's not had a bad half. Could have had an assist and goal quite easily. Don't lose faith that quickly.

Because we rhought Leicester might put Hull to the sword and wanted him in our teams as security.

Its no biggie, though, I have enough money in the bank to swap him for Sanchez.
