Attentions now turn to the Etihad where Pep Guardiola makes his Premier League bow.

David Moyes’ Sunderland are the guests and potential party poopers, although the odds do seem stacked against them.

The Black Cats are in transition under their new manager, while City boast such attacking riches there can be no doubt that they head into today’s clash as overwhelming favourites.

Expectant Fantasy managers will be looking to Sergio Aguero to capitlise – the Argentine heads into the teatime kick-off as the most popular captain choice in the Gameweek and with over 40% ownership.

    Kinda happy that Pep is learning in his first match. His CB combo is foolish, his CMs are not defensive enough, and they haven't had a cutting edge. Let's see how they deal with these last few minutes.

    Was beginning to doubt my decision to avoid Stones because of the way Pep was planning on lining up defensively, relieved it worked out in the end.

    Stoke and West Ham may be interesting baptisms of fire, I'm sure Pep will work it out eventually though.
