Attentions now turn to the Etihad where Pep Guardiola makes his Premier League bow.

David Moyes’ Sunderland are the guests and potential party poopers, although the odds do seem stacked against them.

The Black Cats are in transition under their new manager, while City boast such attacking riches there can be no doubt that they head into today’s clash as overwhelming favourites.

Expectant Fantasy managers will be looking to Sergio Aguero to capitlise – the Argentine heads into the teatime kick-off as the most popular captain choice in the Gameweek and with over 40% ownership.

    8 years playing and usually first week is awful, think my highest is about 550,000 week one. Defo best that today so I'm happy

    Overwhelmed by his cheap 5m tag in a 'top team' have i like many others made a mistake in getting in Stones? seemed the furthest back at all times, with Kolarov shooting forward, doesnt really get many baps and isnt exactly a force when he goes up for corners. I guess my other option at 5m was Morgan so could have been worse....its early days yes, but at the moment a move to Williams seems very likely.

      Yes I occasionally used to post my score which was stupid and pointless. But surely the score after 5 GW's will reveal more (about football and FPL players). Most decent scores at the end will probably between 50 - 80 so ground can easily be made up (even if you get 30-40 it's not a complete disaster).
