Attentions now turn to the Etihad where Pep Guardiola makes his Premier League bow.

David Moyes’ Sunderland are the guests and potential party poopers, although the odds do seem stacked against them.

The Black Cats are in transition under their new manager, while City boast such attacking riches there can be no doubt that they head into today’s clash as overwhelming favourites.

Expectant Fantasy managers will be looking to Sergio Aguero to capitlise – the Argentine heads into the teatime kick-off as the most popular captain choice in the Gameweek and with over 40% ownership.

    Not one for taking hits and it's only the start of the season, but I think the following makes sense:

    de Gea (Jak)
    Stones / Valencia / Friend / Pieters (Amat)
    *LAMELA / Hazard / Firmino *REDMOND (Capoue)
    Agüero Ibrahimovic *NEGREDO

    Basically, take an 8 point hit to do:
    Gray -> Negredo
    Fischer -> Lamela
    Tadic -> Redmond

    I've zero in the bank and the 3 moves is for the exact money.
    Means that I beat any price rises and make the team better.
    Yes, I know, an 8 point hit, but so what. Agree?

          Tadic to Redmond frees up 1.5m, which enables be to get someone better.

      1. One match is not enough to judge either Gray or Negredo. Gray may still bang them in next game onwards.
      2. Fischer--> makes sense.
      3. Tadic--> Redmond is too sideways. Tadic will get points. He was impressive today. Not worth a hit!

    How many players in your team got 2 points or fewer today (starting 11)? - I felt a little aggrieved with Tadic and Eriksen failing.

    For me, 6/10 (saved by Aguero, Negredo and Foster)

    Are City really trying to replace as Hart with ter-Stegen?

    Hart makes mistakes, but ter-Stegen is a joke. He is like de Gea from three years back who only made acrobatic saves, but unlike DDG, he hasn't improved at all.

    Bernd Leno would be way better.

    Last min switch from tadic to Redmond to keep some cash for flexibility purposes paid off

    Only reason for the above avg score apart from foster who I had from the start.

    Fffix predicts a 5 digit rank ... Nice change from the usual 7digit gw1 rank if it holds

    not trying to be smug but surely most people on here should have been a lot more wary of gray than they were? 8 goals v Bradford, stade nyonnais, rangers, Bolton, Morecambe - 2 of which were pens. burnley are clearly a defensive-minded side in the PL so gray won't get as many chances as he did in the champ. And then the fixtures, barring Swansea today, weren't appealing either. A lesson, methinks.
