If Ibra does well, I think that I will be tempted to also trade Vardy for him... If Ibra scores, I'd fear a price swap in both directions over the next several days, imo. I think Kane is safer although he was very uninvolved today as well. This isn't a desirable move, so for multiple reasons, I'm hoping for an Ibra blank.

we must have had identical teams, but I just did Kane for Vardy and plan on captaining him. Didn't really get fed much today with spurs playing average for first 60 odd mins, I'm going to remain optimistic and put it down to a small pre season (some players admitted they were rusty before the game) and expect them back to themselves at home against palace (who conceded to a team of defenders lol) next week.

In the chaos of the morning no show from the site (and I was trying a good 20 mins before deadline) I ended up with Albrighton (Lei) and Fletcher (WBA) as my 4th and 5th mids. Issue is that while Fletcher is 4.5, Albrighton is 5.5 and didn't even start, seems a big waste of 1.0 doing nothing when he really should have been a 4.5 player.

Hopefully neither of them will drop till I WC, sometime around GW 4-5.

Last season was very different to others. Vardy Mahrez Ali were all cheap so it made the price game less important.

If it's a big hitter year, you need to get those extra dollars built up early.

I think you could wait until Monday but better safe than sorry.

Seems aggressive. We really don't know the price change algorithm this year, but I'd be surprised if prices moved tonight. Yet, if you are really averse to taking a price hit and don't want chance it, trading now ensures you won't get hit with one. There are other risks though (midweek injuries, injuries to players tomorrow) that could result in more trades than you wish to make.

Usually I wait until the day before the start of a gameweek before making any transfers, but reading contributions on here is making me question that strategy.
