We were dressed for success, but success it never comes.

Suited and booted, we crown the new season riding a wave of giddy optimism. The positivity flows on the eve of a new campaign which, on paper, looks destined to be one of the best in memory.

Granville makes a belated return to ScoutCast action to join Jonty, Andy and myself as we start to sift the seemingly endless array of options open to us on the new season player list.

It’s bewildering stuff but, guided by you, the community, we attempt to navigate all your pre-season questions before laying our own cards on the table.

It’s amazing to be back amongst it again. Let’s just hope the smiles stay as wide for the next episode.

        I'm by no way sure if Zlatan's worth it, but I rather go with him from the start and downgrade.

        The defense is thin, but predicting assists and CS from the start seems almost impossible. Early wildcard will sort that out.

      I have those three and I am captaining Aguero.
      Hazard seems riskier to me as they are playing West Ham.
      Not sold on how prolific Ibrahimovic will be, by that I mean, I think Man City will be more attacking so feel Aguero has a better chance of multiple goals.

    This seems a bit risky but...

    If downgrade Williams to a 4m def (already have Amat) then I could get a 8.5m MF (eg Alli) over Ayew

    I know this theory maybe a little silly but I want to make a small case for Jordi Amat. I think having a Spanish speaking center half pair of him and Fernandez could benefit Swansea. Throwing the Dutchman van der Hoorn next to a Spanish speaker whose English may not be that great could muddy things. I don't know if any of them are great English speakers but I at least know two of them are really good at Spanish and communication is undervalued in sport.
