Nathan Redmond has usurped team-mate Dusan Tadic as part of this morningโ€™s Watchlist refresh.

With the dust settled from the opening dayโ€™s action, weโ€™ve dipped back into the rankings for our daily re-assessment and promoted the former Norwich winger up the midfield standings.

Priced at just 6.0 and deployed as part of a front two by manager Claude Puel, Redmond appears to be our first priority in the mid-price.

The drop for Tadic is harsh. He was outstanding in the 1-1 draw with Watford and produced some performance statistics that suggest he will be a major Fantasy force over the campaign. We will keep monitoring his displays.

But Redmond got his goal and his own numbers were equally impressive: his potential and value is just too strong.

With Puel talking him up at every opportunity, it would be remiss to overlook his appeal at the expense of Tadic and also striker Shane Long.

Southamptonโ€™s fixtures will certainly test Redmondโ€™s output.

Puelโ€™s side must now face trips to Manchester United, Arsenal and Leicester. But St Maryโ€™s meetings with Sunderland and Swansea appear to provide the platform for the former Canary to go on producing.

He stacks up behind a cast of heavy-hitting midfielders but may well surpass some of that pack once the Gameweek 1 fixtures are complete.

Today we will be monitoring the performances of Roberto Firmino and Alexis Sanchez in particular.

Further down our list we saw Ross Barkley make positive strides having notched on the opening day once again.

Middlesbroughโ€™s Gaston Ramirez also consolidated his position as our midfield weapon of choice in Aitor Karankaโ€™s ranks.

Weโ€™re also showing patience with Andros Townsend. He demonstrated enough to suggest heโ€™ll be a key goal threat for Crystal Palace and his mid-term fixtures remain favourabe. He holds his position as another mid-price consideration.

Further down, Erik Lamela sneaks in to our reckoning. We will be debating his rank further this week, with Dele Alli already coming under pressure as the key target in Tottenhamโ€™s midfield ahead of their encouraging schedule.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Deulofeu looked good on MOTD. Anyone watch the full game? How was Barkley also?

Completely disagree. I thought Deulofeu was the threat. Barkley was completely ineffective for the majority of the game. If you get Del, remember, he never gets 90 mins. Came off on 67 yesterday.

I don't own either, but having watched the game I would of been very frustrated with having Deulofeu in my team.

Link up play between all attackers were very good. They defended collectively.pressed very well.and the signing of gueye from villa was master class, his breaking up was superb.(he was ranked second for interception and tackles last season)
I expect Everton to be defensively solid and attack collectively.

Last season in GW1 I benched Gomez (LFC) and he assisted, got cleanie and 3BPS all for 4m.

Then everyone jumped on the bandwagon.

This season a lot more of us were on Redmond. Although he got quite lucky, at least most of us played him.

Too much hype about his managers comments tho mean he'll be the bandwagon of choice (along with Alvaro).

    Anyone actually play Capoue? ๐Ÿ™

Waiting to see if Oscar has a role to play for Chelsea as he'll be my 7.5mil mid of choice if he looks nailed on.

Exactly the same scenario regarding Cazorla.

Hard to pass up these two at 7.5mil if nailed on in two top 6 clubs.

When fixture congestion kicks in - cup replays, CL etc. and games need to be moved. Last season they were later in the season. They can occur at different times though. About 6 years ago, there were a load of rearranged games due to snowy weather. If you stay on this site, you won't miss them. The ffs community are (rightly) obsessed with them.

Big points are on offer if you get your selections right and play your chips right. The main point to remember is not to triple captain Lukaku in a double gameweek - even if he has easy fixtures. Trollkaku.

Of course, the threshold rules may have changed this year (FPL towers normally tweak the price rules a little) - but it does look like Negredo will be the first one to rise.

Looking forward to last the few games ๐Ÿ™‚

Valencia in the early game and Firmino later

    Hazard and Costa tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜Ž

      How did you start Carp?

52 so far with the above 4 to go

Not too bad. Capoue's 10 as 1st sub is a right pain to look at but would never considered playing him over any of my starters.

        You? ๐Ÿ™‚

Pretty happy myself. 45 with 4 to go. Waiting for Ibra ๐Ÿ˜€

Team is in good shape for most of us i reckon.

Yeah Redmond getting off the blocks is a nice way to start the season

Might be able to bank that FT for next week, don't see many reasons to use it.... yet

Sorry for butting into this thread. At the moment a possible use of a first week FT is to replace Gray. If Liverpool and Chelsea look solid at the back, would you use that FT to bring in a different third striker?

Nice, what was your score Bow? Glad to be a part of the 17% that have Hazard! I've got Shaw and Ibra today, hoping for a good return.

        52

I'm terrified of Ibra today, hope he stays quiet. United being away is slight positive but 90 minutes will tell

52 with 4 remaining is a very good score Bows. I take it you got at least 2 clean sheets?

What are people's thoughts on Stones?

I'm thinking about swapping him for an Everton CB because they have brilliant fixtures.

So keep or dump gray before price changes on 6.5M strikers? Negredo I was thinking?
