to whoever has any goalkeeping partnership, just play the one who think is least likely to keep a clean sheet, this tactic works like a charm

As someone who has a Foster-Heaton combo and got it wrong in both GWs, this advice isn't far from the truth.

You and me both, brother. Going Foster this week. Which means Heaton will make 9 saves, keep a CS and maybe save a pen or score

Quite true, Jaku did well last week though. Not gonna quibble over 3 extra points from Heaton.

Seriously, he's been playing like a man possessed and the most goals the calendar year is no fluke. Okay, it was merely the mighty Shrews tonight but he's pretty much the best Black Cat for their impendinf battle this season. Let's not forget what Moyes did for Baines too...

mmm less convinced by those two. I know SUN's defence is on a par with BOU n STO it would seem but Patrick is steamrolling forward.

Smith is very attacking also and has nice bonus potential. Pieters with those fixtures...

Not seeing many clean sheets and that's a problem. If he achieves his last seasons 6 goals, it's a success. Surely tempting thou.

I've looked at him given the fixtures but honestly, whilst he could grab a haul here and there, constantly firing like Coutinho does from 30 yards does absolutely everyone's head in, not least his owner's and team mates to boot.

Yes..but wanted to see if someone would argue for Townsend enough over the likes of Ozil..and if multiple people did..then maybe the hype is real... I'm obviously on the fence for bringing him in..also considering Benteke coming in and a good schedule.

Thoughts on the following transfers for s draft league / long term?

Friend and Azpil ----------> Williams and Terry

    1. Jay_
      10 years, 7 days ago

Not worth it long term because of Terry, Friend and Azpi are the bonus kings, couldn't ask for 2 better season keepers than those.

Williams is as well though, no?

        1. Jay_
          10 years, 7 days ago

Yep but Terry may still lose his spot, if it was after the transfer deadline and you asked and Chelsea still hadn't signed a CB, I'd have said go for it but as its a long term move to be done now, id say the first 2 are safer as it stands.

Ha, got a slight deep inner regret at Wildcarding so early mate, kinda wish I just took a hit and got Ibra for now. West Ham and Arsenal, the 2 best teams fixtures wise have still got transfers to be done.

A lot have wildcarded already and It's likely the majority of the rest will be following suit in the next week or two so i wouldn't worry about that.. very few start perfectly i went without Aguero for 2 weeks anticipating a slowish start and he bent me clean over lol

          1. Jay_

Exactly the same as me with Ibra lol, that's why I figured it's best to react quick and sort the problem immediately. The real winners were those who started with both.

Personally I hope so, that would put Francis back at right back. Adam Smith is good going forward but can get caught upfield on counter attacks, and he's a bit short for a full back too. Not sure that Eddie Howe sees it that way though.

Advice needed... Trying to keep Man Utd and Arsenal cover in defence but maybe B could let me upgrade Zaha to Bolasie and get Everton defensive cover for their kind run of fixtures..

    A. Cech - Shaw - Holding - Zaha

    B. De Gea - Williams - Holding - Bolasie

Go without a 5.5 GK imo Foster/Heaton provide better value.

Bring that money to attacking full backs or bap magnets

      Walker/Shaw/Valencia/Bellerin etc

    A) Townsend
    B) Sterling (already have Aguero)

    E) Coutinho
    F) Any other suggestion

Can't seem to choose between Aguero and Ibra for the armband. Anyone got any points that will help choose one over the other?

Captain sensible, usually a members only article out on Friday at 5pm usually is great, although you can find it on FPL site or Twitter on Thursday evening nowadays most probably.

Kun is home and Zlatan is away. While I think Hulls good form won't last long, I won't bet against a healthy, in form Kun

Keeping both and saving the FT. If you must, it depends on your bench defenders

Thanks for the advice. Will probably resist and hold.

Other defenders are Valencia Stones Williams Amat, should be alright.

Had a play around with a WC team - I can't see anyway of bringing Payet/Mahrez into a team that has Hazard, Kun and Ibra in it. Not enough funds....

I wouldn't say Mahrez is a must have though, wouldn't pick him up unless he shows last seasons form at least.

If you didn't have Kun and Ibra from the start, it could be difficult, but not impossible.

      Foster, Jaku
      Shaw, Stones, 4.5, 4.5, 4.0
      Haz, Payet, Redmond, Bolasie, Capoue/4.5
      Kun, Ibra, Ronon/6.5

Oh (oops) Friend & Evans are flagged and I will have Amat vs. Leicester.

Any recommendation for 4.5m or 4.0m DF please.

    Souaré ?

Marc Wilson ? -> Just noticed that he's moved to Bournemouth.

Hold tight. Especially if you've made a FT already.

        I'm a bit lucky to have 2 FTs now. I think it might be a good chance to re-consider 4.5m + 4.5m or 4.0m + 5.0m DF.

Yeah, I think Williams with 4.0 look better than two of 4.5m. But I'm not sure if there are any other nailed 4.0m DF apart from Amat.

I might end up with Amat coming on as well, just gunna roll with him. It would be mad to spend 4 points on what would need to be a clean sheet (plus swansea conceding) just to break even.

      1. NATSTER
        • 15 Years

Definitely agree that -4 is not justified.

What if you have 2 FTs?

          10 years, 7 days ago

hmm, they should both be very short term injuries (although evans is likely to be injured on and off a lot). if you're planning to keep friend long term i would probably save the FT. if you're happy to part ways with him then go ahead and make a swap, but it would have to be for a 4.5.

Maybe Smith, Mee. Not too many good options honestly.
