Dugout Discussion – Hull City vs Man United

Share:

Hull City and Manchester United conclude the day’s events with a top of the table clash at the KCOM stadium.

Against the odds, both teams go into the tea-time kick-off having won both their opening matches, with Tigers boss Mike Phelan working miracles with a threadbare squad.

Not surprisingly, both Hull and United are unchanged. Whilst that could be down to very limited options in Phelan’s case, Jose Mourinho chooses to keep his winning side intact, with Chris Smalling and Henrikh Mkhitaryan again named on the bench.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Foster, Jak
    Shaw, Evans, Friend, Amat, Kingsley
    Hazard, Tadic, Lamela, Redmond, Capoue
    Aguero, Ibra, Lukaku

    0.2 ITB

No reason to blow this team up with a wildcard, right?

Of course. Really regretting my two free transfers this week - should've carried two into the international week and jumped on Arsenal assets ahead of their schedule shift

    Valdes - Jakupovic
    Valencia - Stones - Friend - Evans - Amat
    Hazard - Redmond - Ramirez - Deulofeu - Lamela
    Gray - Augero - Ibrahimovic

    I thinking of

    Deulofeu + Lamela -> Sanchez & Capoue
this means no Everton and no Spurs cover ahead of the "easy on paper" fixtures

    Yay on Nay?

I'm surprised people are transferring Holgate in. I mean he is playing really well but surely Coleman will start ahead of him right? I think he is ready after the international break.

He's played really well. Man of the match candidate in the last 2 games, but Coleman will hinder his gametime when he comes back from injury

Bottomed, hoping for a reply or two:

I honestly have very little idea what to now do. Gut tells me to do A on the below but I'm worried about missing out on price changes on the international break:

A: Sort out Kone. Williams? Souare?

B: Hit the WC and make changes to get price increases

    1FT

    Foster Heaton

    Shaw Stones Friend Pieters Kone

    Hazard Barkley Lamela Redmond Capoue

    Aguero Ibrahimovic Negredo

I do but I'm worried I have too much tied up in my defense then.

Miles better than souare yes. Do that trade. Dont worry about that just yet, your team is very good. Can always downgrade someone in the future if funds are needed

If you feel you need it then that's what it's for. Better to get the players you want now than drop value as they rise. Defiantly wouldn't drop 8 though but I'm quite cautious with dropping points.

Dunno nothing about him too tbh. Really underwhelming is all I can say how I feel. Rumours of Payet being unsettled now and the club making up an imaginary 'knock'. Owners son has come out on Twitter saying he won't be sold this window, sounds a bit worrying for January though. Bad times, massive game for us tomorrow, need a result to get a feel good factor back over the break.
