Dugout Discussion – Hull City vs Man United

Hull City and Manchester United conclude the day’s events with a top of the table clash at the KCOM stadium.

Against the odds, both teams go into the tea-time kick-off having won both their opening matches, with Tigers boss Mike Phelan working miracles with a threadbare squad.

Not surprisingly, both Hull and United are unchanged. Whilst that could be down to very limited options in Phelan’s case, Jose Mourinho chooses to keep his winning side intact, with Chris Smalling and Henrikh Mkhitaryan again named on the bench.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      United have been hammering them and have been lucky not to concede.

      Yes they've done well to stay in it, but I think that's more down to luck rather than great form, lol.

          Fair point.

          I'm obviously a United supporter, and whilst I expect us to grab the away win, I also wasn't cocky about it and stuck the armband on Kun with the home advantage.

          In saying that, I without coming across arrogant (hopefully) I expect to see a couple goals for us in the second half based on how the match is panning out thus far.

          Just not sure if Ibra will be the goal scorer, however as a supporter I don't really care who grabs the goals. 😉

          Maybe. I have Aguero (C), but can see the appeal of Ibra given Bilic's pedigree against top teams last season.

      I brought him in because he's shown enough to suggest he'll be a good asset, but after Hull's performances i wasn't captaining. Still a half of football to go.

        For the considerable future

        A: Barkley & Lukaku

        B: Sanchez & Diomande -4

        C: Sanchez & Benteke -8 with Capoue playing every week.

        Blew my WC last week, seems ridiculous to take hits straight after but I have no qualms taking a hit so early on. Sanchez getting out of price range when there's no money at all left after having Sanchez, Haz, Kun, Ibra in team. However, Everton have amazing fixtures, that's why I doubled their attack in the first place.

          Not necessarily a huge fan of doubling up on Everton however of the options listed i would say hold with A. Like you say fixtures are good (as is patience!).

          It's hard to tell what Sanchez will be like after playing twice over the international break and I'd actually say Ozil probably offers better value in my opinion over the long term.
