He’s gone. Aguero has been shown the door, at least by myself, Jonty and Andy.

But Granville had to be different.

The revitalised ScoutCast shock-jockey simply had to go against the grain and choose to bench the Argentine.

He’s also refusing to play his Wildcard, challenging us to persuade him over the course of this episode.

Do we succeed in tipping him over the edge? You’ll have to listen in and find out.

In doing so, you’ll hear the four of us address a barrage of Wildcard fuelled questions from you, the Community, as we tackle subjects such as the Arsenal midfield conundrum, Payet vs Antonio and survey the options when it comes to cheap enablers.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via YouTube on Tuesday evening.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    its driving me batty.

    A. Antonio & Lamela
    or
    B. Payet & Capoue

Payets gunna come good, and soon. WHU have great fixtures coming up. i like Antonio but we wont score like Payet will. im not sure about lamela, or spurs in general, but got a nagging feeling 2x7m will outscore Capoue and Payet.

Why not Payet and Antonio...until you see if Lamela is rotated for champions league. Alternatively, there are other options in the 7m region

          Misread it.

In that case Antonio+Lamela is the more flexible option as there is more choice around the 7m price range, should you need to transfer out Lamela. However, Watford have good fixtures after GW6, although Capoue may be playing deeper now they have Perera...tough one

got many balls in the air this WC, trying to juggle haz, sanchez, ibra, both shaw & valencia, tekkers, gray AND keeping 1.6 itb to get Kun back in a couple of weeks.

i know i know, even rmt has him on the bench for the whole season. i need a better 4.6 mf but for that price im not going to get anything better than a 2ptr

If you're a WC get any alternative 4.5m as it frees up an Everton space. You never know if Lukaku, Barkley, Baines/Coleman/Williams will hit form simultaneously. I've done the same...it was painful having Barry on the bench when he scored his first goal in years!

I have Negredo on WC because I was hoping for another rise but it doesn't look like it's happening, at least not before Benteke rises. With Benteke at 95% now, I think I may bring him in now to be safe, because even if he doesn't rise tonight, he'd surely rise tomorrow and so even if Negredo rose tomorrow, it wouldn't matter since I want Benteke and not Negredo, when all is said and done.

    Sanity check?

Yeah exactly. I want Benteke in the end, not Negredo. So since Negredo isn't rising tonight, even if he rises tomorrow, Benteke is rising either tonight or tomorrow night, so there isn't a point in me waiting.

West Ham has good fixtures, few options there.

PVA could be irresistible if Moyes plays 3 at the back and makes him a winger.

Watford fix good in a couple weeks, but meh, could just as well keep Stones for that.

Nailed ManC defender for 5m will be good, but probably not really good until Pep gets them on lock-down in the 2nd half of the season.

*A wee trumpet doth announce a draft league for the 2nd international break*

    * 6 places (from 60) left *

    *NOT an FPL thing*

The draft is a "slow draft" on Fantrax. There are 9 hours on the draft clock per pick. The idea is not for people to use the whole clock but to allow for global participation and allow people to sleep and work without stressing about being in the draft room every waking minute. It takes about 10 days during the 2nd international break, starts October 2.

11 players are drafted by each team. You start 7 players with a bench of 4 each week.
    1 GK
    2 to 4 defenders
    1 to 3 mids
    0 to 2 strikers

You have to stay on top of "free agent" players and make claims and drops (of current players) to keep your squad fresh, deal with injuries, etc.

You also can trade players with other managers in the league.

It is a 20 team division. Top 3 or more teams are promoted to division 2 (as we have some drop outs from the upper divisions, more managers from division 3 get promoted).

Some people like the draft format and some hate it.

A primary rule of the league is that your team name needs to be injury related to go with the league name theme (Knocks & Niggles) and then put your FFS name in parentheses so folks know who you are. So examples are:
    Balotelli's Grass Allergy (Milanista)
    Injured For Eva (Balders)
    No Return Date (HeelsOverHead)
    Strained Groins (Pundit of Punts)
    Torn ACL (TM245)

If you're interested, there are openings in our 3rd division. Each division is 20 teams and there are promotions/relegations.

Baines & Kone vs. Williams and PVA
      depends on...

If Kone is part of 3 at back and PVA is on the wing... the PVA one wins.

If Baines is still on PKs despite the miss... Baines one wins.

If both statements are true, it's really a tight call, either combo works. (I have Baines and PVA)

Is Adam Lallana being overlooked considerably on here? His stats are pretty interesting and has had as much of the ball (if not more) in the attacking third with the likes of Mane, Coutinho and Firmino. Nailed on at at 7.1 will outscore the likes of Lamela, Antonio, etc. you'd expect.

A nice differential if nothing else.

Why would you expect him to outscore Lamela and Antonio? Less of a goal threat I'd assume.

    4. COYS Down Under
      • 11 Years
      10 years, 1 day ago

History doesn't suggest he'll out perform Lamela or Antonio.

That said I think his stats this year are great and is a good differential over other 7m mids at the moment. Remains to be seen if he's a good long term prospect.

as a sub or every week player?

I mean, he costs nearly nothing... so assuming this is to go 3-5-2 usually

Every week player for the next 3 weeks. Could swap him out and play Capoue depending on fixtures.

I have him as sub for 352 - would recommend this.
With their fixtures and new recruits I wouldn't be so confident with him to play every week.
hope he does carry on impressing tho...

RMT seems down on Lucas Perez and Zaza, but really bullish on Ighalo and Deeney. Abel Hernandez halfway between.

Zaza in particular I would think would be rated higher.

RMT adapts slowly to new players.

Inhale in calendar year 2015 did not carry over to 2016. Not sure why... but RMT applying Ighalo stats 2015-2016 doesn't really work with him.

I like Watford fixtures and have Deeney in since he's on PKs... ain't nothing funnier than hoping your players have Mike Dean as the ref every week.

Someone needs to explain to me the Zaza love. I'd want to see him perform before I took a flyer.

        Cheers.

Zaza--fixtures mostly, and the injuries to those who might take lone striker spot.

Deeney with PKs I get. His stats are not so good, though. Ighalo, better, but still bad.

Sterling or Ozil for the next few weeks?

This week, Ozil because Sterling will face a really dificult derby, but I think Sterling will be one of the top players, even better than Ozil maybe...
