Dugout Discussion – Everton vs Middlesbrough

Saturday’s events come to a close at Goodison Park with Ronald Koeman’s upwardly mobile Everton side hosting Middlesbrough.

Frankly, this match is all about Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian exploded a dramatic 11-minute hat-trick just six days ago at Sunderland and heads into the tea-time encounter backed by almost 250,000 new owners, with 6% handing him the captaincy.

Koeman’s side will be bidding for a fourth straight victory and a third consecutive clean sheet.

Middlesbrough’s task looks tough, then, having suffered a home reverse in Gameweek 4 at the hands of Crystal Palace.

Alvaro Negredo goes into the contest desperate for a goal having blanked in his last three. Having soared early on as a Fantasy Premier League transfer target, he’s been hemorrhaging owners for the past three Gameweeks, losing 164,000 heading into Friday’s deadline.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I got him on wildcard. Look at his stats for pen area touches.

Would appreciate someone's input on this.

    For a 4 point hit, I'm considering.

    Bony, Hazard and Ozil OUT

Aguero, Snodgrass and an 8.5 IN (thinking Coutinho or Firmino atm).

Definitely Lukaku goal because the ball speeds up after he touched it

A ball can speed up after bouncing too though. Doesn't need a plzyer to touch it.

FPL towers like to pick and choose don't they. Watch it in every angle possible, in the slowest replay possible - no Lukaku touch. It's all fun and games but at least be consistent and fair in decisions.

It looked to me from one of the angles as if the pace on the ball slowed slightly, hence lukaku touch (fingers crossed!)

After watching the replay about 10 times I genuinely can see Lukaku skimmed it. The third replay they showed on sky sports is best for this. It's so hard to spot

It's a weird one definitely, I'm positive Lukaku skimmed it. But how could that ever be proven? We can only see a Bolasie goal

Only if there was zoomed in replay from the right angle which we didn't get. The behind the goal one didn't really tell anything.
