The Dugout Discussion – Liverpool vs West Bromwich Albion

Share:

A hugely frustating Saturday comes to its conclusion as Liverpool entertain West Bromwich Albion at Anfield.

The Reds’ run of four straight wins was halted by a dogged Man United display on Monday evening, though on the positive side, Jurgen Klopp’s side chalked up a first clean sheet of the season ahead of some very kind looking fixtures.

Bearing in mind that the Baggies have a single clean sheet in seven, owners of the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana will be optimistic of returns tonight. The latter returns to the starting line-up in Jurgen Klopp’s only change from the side that were frustrated by the Red Devils.

Four goals and two assists in five appearances makes Nacer Chadli the visitors’ danger man, whilst Ben Foster owners will be expecting a save point or two at least as he looks to repel the Reds’ attack.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Hard to believe but my highest score so far this season is 60. At 340k. One red followed by one green every wk so far.
Altho I did get 180 points with my triple the capt sanchez last yr which effectively won me my MLs so no need to panic yet.

Save transfer or Allen & Son to Coutinho & Fletch for -4? Got exact money.

    Also have Sanchez, Firmino, Sterling.

True. Had a free transfer with no other moves to make - Capoue was falling and Allen rising. It was only done for the value.

              Fair enough.

I sold Cap to Fletcher to raise funds rather than do Cap to Allen.

I think a lot has been made over the whole kun no show last 2 weeks. But 1 was international fatigue and the other was a tactical set up vs best team in world. A move possibly only usable against them only. I reckon he'll be back in the groove tomorrow. Regretting not captaining now.

I'm not sure about the 2nd one though, you don't just bench 'arguably' the best player in your team for tactical reasons. Then there is also that weird quote from Pep about Aguero. And I just finished reading an article from the dutch newspaper that Pep will put Aguero on the transfer list.

ManU playing at Chelsea this week, it is not unthinkable that Zlatan keeps misfiring. His ownership is still around 40% and with other options a plenty, it is not unthinkable that his price will soon hit 11. Will you buy him back if his price drops to 11 or under? Despite the lack of goalscoring form?

If Aguero blanks & looks off form then selling him & bringing KDB in if he's in form/great game would give me something to ponder.

    Aguero out - Austin in
    Capoue out - KDB in

    Foster
    Bellerin, Pieters, Holebas
    Sanchez, KDB, Firmino, Walcott, Allen
    Costa, Lukaku

    Jaku, Austin, Smith, Amat

It will also leave me with 0.6itb. The above team definitely looks tempting but actually selling Aguero is madness however I took a -16 hit this week so I think I'm already there haha. Thoughts & thanks.

With Amat now seemingly dropped and Baines constantly injured along with Evans' tricky next two fixtures, I'd definately make the move. I'm using my only FT this week to bring in either Holebas or Smith for Collins myself.

He is. Looks well too. Hopefully reached playoffs at least. Auto qualification probably outta reach now unless we get on a really good run.

Not too fuzzed about Amat, on my bench anyway. But if he's out for good, who are people replacig with? I guess Kingsley is the obvious choice?

Wrong timing - with thise WBA fixtures, better just keep Amat as non-playing 5th

Tbh. I highly highly doubt I will find a time to replace him until 2nd WC.

I give up with this game, no1 GW team has Coutinho on the bench and is a Liverpool fan haha. Anyway moving on, Anotio you've been fun but now bye bye so gives me 7.7, so Lallana/son, any other options or free up funds and look at Mane/Coutinho etc etc already have Walcott and a Firmino.

Is there any website or way or working out an average of how many players people in the top 100K have left to play tomorrow?

Finally broken into it but I only have aguero to play, so I'm obviously expecting to drop back out. Just be interesting to know....
