A hugely frustating Saturday comes to its conclusion as Liverpool entertain West Bromwich Albion at Anfield.

The Reds’ run of four straight wins was halted by a dogged Man United display on Monday evening, though on the positive side, Jurgen Klopp’s side chalked up a first clean sheet of the season ahead of some very kind looking fixtures.

Bearing in mind that the Baggies have a single clean sheet in seven, owners of the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana will be optimistic of returns tonight. The latter returns to the starting line-up in Jurgen Klopp’s only change from the side that were frustrated by the Red Devils.

Four goals and two assists in five appearances makes Nacer Chadli the visitors’ danger man, whilst Ben Foster owners will be expecting a save point or two at least as he looks to repel the Reds’ attack.

    Thinking Snodgrass to:

    A) Arnautovic (on 4 YCs)
    B) Shaqiri
    C) Sigurdsson

    Stokes next 5 fixtures are much more preferable than Swansea's. I'd like Arnautovic but maybe Shaqiri is better given the risk of suspension for Arnie?

        Had considered that.

        Already have Firmino so could couple with Coutinho, who I prefer over Lallana. Only caution is having two S Americas before yet another int break.

    Doubling up on both LIV/ARS mids bandwagon seems to gaining traction?!?! I'm pretty new when it comes to taking FPL seriously (but enjoying it immensely) but I don't like this at all...Surely it's better to just pick one mid from each and add the likes of Bellerin & Clyne?

            Aye, I'd really take whatever is available on him and move along. Doesn't suit the team, I've always thought him a little unreliable (great player, but the selfishness can be killer not to mention injuries) and his wages cost a bundle. Best to sell.

          I agree. But he's also a wasted talent. Rotted at Chelsea. Showed what he's capable of in that season with Suarez. Now he's back to rotting at Liverpool.

            See, I think the presence of Suarez maybe made Sturridge look better than he is. Again, he's a talented guy, but his selfishness can be extreme. People like to throw around his goal/minutes stat which is notoriously unreliable for players who spend long periods of time injured/making small appearances. Funny enough, his goal/minute stat this season is currently 0 league goals in around 350 minutes of playing (but that's not mentioned).

            He needs a team where he can be the big man. The guy lives on ego and hype (not bashing him, plenty of strikers are like that) so a move to a team that can accommodate him like that could prove very fruitful for his career.

              Just to use the Europa League final as a good point.

              Moreno got all the blame for that result, fair enough he was bilge. I was watching Sturridge, though. In that game, he scored a cracking goal. He also refused to square a ball for a simple tap in for Firmino, instead drilling it straight at the keeper from a rubbish angle and was the reason a perfectly legitimate Lovren goal was ruled offside because he just had to try and kick it even though the ball was clearly already going in. Those 2 moments could have been 2 goals which would have seen Pool level with Sevilla and maybe even see them go on to win the competition. Just an example of course, can't blast the guy on one performance but I've often noticed those kind of traits to his game.

              No doubt Suarez will make players around him look good but they have to have the talent in the first place. I don't think he has a particularly bad attitude but as you say his ego probably adds to his game. I honestly think he would be a good fit at Arsenal. Definitely an upgrade on Giroud.
