Two Swansea City old boys combine to see off the Welshman in the Potteries, as thousands of Fantasy managers profit from the continued form of a certain “number ten”. Here’s the Stock Check from the final Gameweek 10 fixture…

On the Rise

Joe Allen
Two assists sealed a third double-figure haul in the space of five Gameweeks as Allen’s flourishing form continued.

Buzzing around the hold-up play of Wilfried Bony, the 5.1 Fantasy Premier League option twice teamed up with the Ivorian to see off Swansea City.

Over 130,000 FPL managers brought Allen in ahead of Gameweek 10 to earn instant rewards. Given his current form and output, they will feel that he fully justifies a fourth midfielder role in our squads. Certainly, as a fifth midfielder in a 3-5-2, Allen looks destined to deliver.

However, it should be noted that Stoke City have played the current bottom three clubs in their last three outings. The trip to West Ham United could prove trickier for the Potters and Allen – particularly with Marko Arnautovic and potentially Xherdan Shaqiri both absent.

Wilfried Bony
Finally, after seven Premier League starts, Bony has sparked to life having ended his goal drought against his former club.

Priced at 7.3, it was hoped that the Ivorian could provide a mid-price option on his arrival at the bet365 stadium. That could now be the case, although the output currently being provided by Allen will undoubtedly dampen enthusiasm for Bony as an attacking option.

In Decline

Xherdan Shaqiri
Over 94,000 acquired the Swiss international off the back of his 15-point return at Hull City, only to see the playmaker limp from the field on 26 minutes. There’s no news as yet on the nature of the injury or a prognosis.

Marko Arnautovic
Perched on the suspension tightrope before Monday night’s encounter, the Austrian was unable to navigate the 90 minutes and, having received his fifth booking, will now miss the Gameweek 11 trip to West Ham.

With just a goal and an assist this season, Arnautovic has been a bitter disappoint after his 11-goal campaign last time out.

Stephen Kingsley
Brought back in at left-back for the Swansea City clean sheet against Watford last weekend, Kingsley was tonight inexplicably relegated to the reserves with Neil Taylor earning a recall.

With Jordi Amat ousted to the bench in Gameweek 9, it appears that we no longer have a 4.1 option available in the Swansea rearguard – perhaps that’s no major loss on the evidence of Monday night.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Good morning all!

Lesson learnt this GW: Don't let price bias sway you from picking the obvious bargains. Kicking my butt this week for going with Shaq over Allen.

You were unlucky with his injury though. I've owned Arnautovic for the last 3 weeks.

Well , that's FPL for you. Also , Allen was yellow flagged start of last week when I chose Shaqiri. All my sympathy to Arnie owners!
Anyway, knee-jerked him in for Shaq straight after yesterdays match, at least I expect to make a 0.1 profit if anything 🙂

Kun would have to get kidnapped by the Mexican cartel before I ever sold him.

    Pickford
    Koscielny / Lovren / Walker
    Gundogen / Firmino / Sanchez / Coutinho
    Aguero / Deeney / Lukaku

    Bench: Jaku, Kelly, Amat, Barry

Deeney > Austin a good trade?

Doing OK so far considering no Sanchez! Want to get him in next week, so need to make an enabling transfer this week.

Antonio to Chadli/Redmond? Or Benteke to Austin?

Would probably prefer the Austin move but can see Antonio dropping again and my TV is crap. Rank is OK at 47k.

Both moves enable Payet to Sanchez

Benteke to Austin for me. Maybe consider Antonio out for a hit if you're concerned about his value. Or maybe give Antonio 1 more chance with Stoke at home this week.

Guys I would really appreciate some early thought on this mess!

I still have my wildcard in hand but would like to save it for intl break next week.

    Foster
    Bellerin* Evans Stones
    Arnie* Cout Firm Redmond
    Aguero Deeney Lukaku

    Jaku Capoue Friend Amat

    1FT, 3.2m ITB

    I'm currently thinking Arnie->Hazard.

Could also do Deeney->Austin for -4. Defence is also a shambles but probably not worth a hit if WC'ing next week...

Very happy with the GW just gone. Pre-last night, I was losing 83-78 in my head to head. Step up Allen!

    Next week:

    Foster
    Bellerin Shaw Smith
    Redmond Allen Coutinho Sanchez
    Aguero Lukaku Wilson

    Jaku Antonio Walker Amat

No FT having brought Redmond in for Snodgrass. Antonio I'll look to shift next week. Shaw will be gone in the near future too.

    Thoughts?

Ok dokey, time to sort this...

    Heaton
    Valencia*/Williams/Holebas
    Astronaut*/Alexis/Coutinho/Firmino
    Kun/Au$tin/Lukaku

    Capoue/Evans

    1 FT, 0.0 itb

Just sort Valencia and roll with Capoue, or take a -4 to sort NASA as well?

I watched the whole Stoke game last night(can you believe it?) Allen passed the eyeball test for me, and I'm the first to admit I underestimated him.

Bony hitting form now as well. Allen's late runs into the box reminds me of Lampard. He just seems to be in the right place at the right time. Just not sure how Arnie/Shaq absence will effect Stoke vs WH.

            Besides, BOURN/watf/BURN gives me confidence.

Well I think it's ok for that short run of fixtures. But I'd recommend you have an exit route in mind. After that run, one of Capoue/Allen should go imo.

    Thoughts on the below?

    3-5-2 0ft, 1.0 ITB

    Heaton-Jaku

    Koscielny-Holebas-Evans-Amat-Kingsley

    Sanchez-Hazard-Coutinho-Lallana-Allen

    Aguero-Lukaku-Barnes

Thinking Kos to Alonso and Lallana to Firminho over the coming weeks

    1. Eze Really?

No rush for that. I think you need another playing defender to cover yourself. Holebas on 4 yellows.

You should also address Amat, Kingsley & Barnes since they don't play. Your starting 11 is very impressive but none of your bench is playing so there's no injury cover.

    Sorry for the repost...

    Heaton l Pickford
    Clyne l PVA l Holebas l Smith l Amat
Sanchez l Coutinho l Firmino l Antonio l De Roon
    Aguero l Lukaku l Deeney

    1FT, 0.4ITB

    A) Antonio --> Redmond
    B) Deeney --> Austin
    C) A+B for -4pts

For all those guys who did not have Kun last week. How much did it hurt?
I have profited massively with kaku and Costa and the only real route into Kun is one of those going or Sanchez.
I captained Sanchez so the pain was limited and Costa and Kaku still got me points. It would cost me 2 tfrs to have done the deal as well.
However, I am starting to feel the pressure in not getting him.
I am going to sail close to the wind and keep what I have as a lot of profit sits with my forwards.

i was one of those who took Kun out...in the end had a net gain as i brought in sanchez and firmino...selling Kun gives better balance to the team....Have costa and lukaku as well...alot of the top teams are without Kun, perhaps KDB might be a route to City

    Foster/Jaku
    Holebas/Walker/McAuley/Amat/Love
    Sanchez/Firmino/Antonio/Allen/Fletcher
    Aguero/Costa/Slimani

Slimani was a failed punt, need to ship with Antonio

    a)Lukaku + 6.7
    b)Austin + 9.9

Should I take a hit to fix defence? 😮

I think option b. because option a. leaves you with a weak m/f.
You could get Coutinho or Hazard but in the short term Coutinho will probably get more points plus you already have Costa for Chelsea cover.
As for a hit for your defense you have 3 playing defenders so it's up to you. I love taking hits so I'm probably the wrong person to ask haha.

Yeah, I've got him, and I'm now questioning his value. I've got an expensive defence currently and although my team as a whole is performing I'd like to put a bit more money in the midfield. I need to get rid of Antonio next week, hence the query.

Hi to all Shaq lads. Now have a headache to sort things out with my team. Unfortunatelly missed all price rises. Have 2FT and 0.7 in the pocket.

What should I do first? All my lines need an improvement.

    Foster (Pickford)
Walker - Smith - Holebas (Amat, Kingsley)
Sanchez - Firmino - Sterling - *Shaqiri* (Capoue)
    Kun - Lukaku - Deeney.

    What is more urgent?
    1) Deeney, Shaqiri > Allen, Austin
    2) Capoue, Shaqiri > Allen, Bolasie
    3) Foster, Shaqiri > Heaton, Allen
    4) Others options.

    Good morning all,

    Heaton
    Clyne Vertonghen Evans
    Antonio Firmino Coutinho Snoddy
    Ibrahimovic Lukaku Aguero

    Pickford Pieters Capoue Amat

    1 FT & 0 ITB

I can afford A for exact money and B by 0.2 but also for -4 points. What should I do this week?

    A Snoddy > Gundogan
    B Snoddy/Ibra > Hazard/Austin -4

See where Gundogan plays tonight first?

    Reposting I think:
    Last post didn't show.

    Boruc (Jaku)
Bellerin l Holebas l Smith (Kingsley
Sanchez l Walcott l Firmino l Allen (Capoue)
    Aguero l Costa l Austin

    1 FT / 0.9 INB.

Thinking of using the FT to go Boruc for Heaton? But next GW against Sunderland. Wait for GW 12? Or drop Wally for Cout? But he's playing for Brazil before GW 12

Looking at your team, you'd probably have to go 3-5-2 to do it, so you'll lose either Sterling or Redmond, for me, and Deeney, and have a non-playing third striker for a -4.
