Two Swansea City old boys combine to see off the Welshman in the Potteries, as thousands of Fantasy managers profit from the continued form of a certain “number ten”. Here’s the Stock Check from the final Gameweek 10 fixture…

On the Rise

Joe Allen
Two assists sealed a third double-figure haul in the space of five Gameweeks as Allen’s flourishing form continued.

Buzzing around the hold-up play of Wilfried Bony, the 5.1 Fantasy Premier League option twice teamed up with the Ivorian to see off Swansea City.

Over 130,000 FPL managers brought Allen in ahead of Gameweek 10 to earn instant rewards. Given his current form and output, they will feel that he fully justifies a fourth midfielder role in our squads. Certainly, as a fifth midfielder in a 3-5-2, Allen looks destined to deliver.

However, it should be noted that Stoke City have played the current bottom three clubs in their last three outings. The trip to West Ham United could prove trickier for the Potters and Allen – particularly with Marko Arnautovic and potentially Xherdan Shaqiri both absent.

Wilfried Bony
Finally, after seven Premier League starts, Bony has sparked to life having ended his goal drought against his former club.

Priced at 7.3, it was hoped that the Ivorian could provide a mid-price option on his arrival at the bet365 stadium. That could now be the case, although the output currently being provided by Allen will undoubtedly dampen enthusiasm for Bony as an attacking option.

In Decline

Xherdan Shaqiri
Over 94,000 acquired the Swiss international off the back of his 15-point return at Hull City, only to see the playmaker limp from the field on 26 minutes. There’s no news as yet on the nature of the injury or a prognosis.

Marko Arnautovic
Perched on the suspension tightrope before Monday night’s encounter, the Austrian was unable to navigate the 90 minutes and, having received his fifth booking, will now miss the Gameweek 11 trip to West Ham.

With just a goal and an assist this season, Arnautovic has been a bitter disappoint after his 11-goal campaign last time out.

Stephen Kingsley
Brought back in at left-back for the Swansea City clean sheet against Watford last weekend, Kingsley was tonight inexplicably relegated to the reserves with Neil Taylor earning a recall.

With Jordi Amat ousted to the bench in Gameweek 9, it appears that we no longer have a 4.1 option available in the Swansea rearguard – perhaps that’s no major loss on the evidence of Monday night.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Aguero Lukaku Austin.

I know it's only 3 games but to me watching that match last night Swansea have gone backwards under Bob Bradley. Under Guidolin the performances were a lot better he was unlucky to get sacked IMO

Will Walcott play this weekend? He's about to drop and Coutinho set for another rise. So Wally --> Cout seems logic. Team right now, 0.8 ITB 1 FT:

    Heaton, Foster
    Koz, Vertonghen, Holebas, Pieters, McAuley
    Firmino, Sterling, Walcott, Antonio, Capoue
    Kun, Lukaku, Austin

Any other pressing issues to be dealt with? Want to give Antonio one last chance before getting him out. Also looking to ditch McAuley in a couple of weeks.

I did Walcott to Coutinho for a hit last gw and was instantly rewarded, however I may still get Wally in down the track.

Could work out well again this gw considering Wally is a very slight injury concern (although back in full training apparently) and Coutinho has the stronger fixture on paper.

To be honest, if you think Wally is sure to start and play, I think both players can score roughly the same this gw. Spurs are solid defensively usually, but against Leicester there were a few cracks showing that could be punished by a better team than Leicester.

I think Arsenal are that much better team.

Plus N London derbies quite often have goals goals goals, i'm hoping for a few goals, with Sanchez and Bellerin getting involved! Also did Walcott Coutinho for a hit.

With Liverpools fixtures I'd gladly double up, at least for a while. Might get Wally back in gw 14 for Sterling, if I do Wally to Cout this gw. But north London derbies are hard to predict!

I don't really understand the need to lose McAuley - after Leicester he has bur HUL WAT che SWA in his next 5, has to be a couple of cleanos in there plus he's as nailed as can be, and one of the top goal threats as a defender. He's just had TOT liv MCY and came out of it with a goal, he's a season keeper for me.

I noticed you sad in a couple of weeks, when his fixtures turn, buti'd happily just bench a 4.5 defender for those few weeks til fixtures return

Decent fixtures indeed, no need to rush to lose McAuley then. It's just the double up with Foster that bugs me a bit, I rarely play both at the same time anyway. But I'll keep both for now!

Walcott's not just about to drop. He's on -49%. Coutinho is on 71% to rise though. Both will drop/rise probably before the end of the week but there's no rush to make a decision just yet
I'm eyeing up the same move but I have a nagging feeling Coutinho may be rested after intl. break so I'm not sure.

I made the mistake I made a few times last season - going for the highest points ceiling.

No Arsenal attackers and Ibra (c) = Play Pickford and hope for the clean sheet.

Should just play the player with most potential even if they're playing each other....Oops!

I played Heaton and Ibra without hesitation.

If Ibra finally came through I wouldn't have cared if Heaton got 1pt.

If Ibra blanked again, Heaton softens the blow as a second chance at points.

As a United supporter it still hurt a lot though. 🙁

      Costa - 4yc
      Lukaku - Chelsea away

Tempted to just keep and look towards Kane who has these fixtures after Arsenal.... West Ham (h), Chelsea (a), Swansea (h), Man Utd (a), Hull (h), Burnley (h)

      Could backfire but we'll see.

Might still get Costa though and just trade him out once he gets his yellow

    the way it is going

is walcott likely to drop -3 this week
has dropped -1 already and shedding owners greatly

want to keep him but worried about his price drops

the next one shouldn't change your SV right? It's the third one you need to take action if that drop is going to seriously effect your transfer plans

yes already taken a -0.1 on him next drop will not effect me
but could not take -0.2 on him with his injury record

will get him back at his lower price if that happens

He'll rise again once he's back? Just like people were transfering Aguero out, then he did a brace and now everyone want him back.

Always ask the question - am I selling because I want another player, or am I selling just because of the price drop?

        This.

Don't worry about price drops if you think he's a good player that will score well.

My guess is he has an "injury" and is being rested for the crucial weekend game.

      I could be wrong though.

Are Deeney owners holding or selling?

Liverpool away is tough on paper but they are involved in goal fests.

sold for Austin who has Hull (A) and is cheaper, watfords fixtures turn a little now. Was always the plan and deeney hasnt done much to warrant changing my mind.

Is Austin still a bit of a RR if he suddenly blanks?

Bony also looks interesting but would prefer to see how he does over the next 1-2 games

I think he'll be okay for now, Southampton and Austin have done well of late with the exception of the Chelsea game.

I already have Joe Allen so not too fussed about doubling up with Bony but i agree he could be a good option but like you say give him a week or two!

Deeney will be falling and Austin will be rising also to bear in mind.

Deeney's returns have been poor of late and especially with nice games on paper i.e. Hull at home. I already have two other Watford cover who could benefit from Liverpool's shaky defence, particularly Holebas who is in my starting 11.
It would be harsh to drop Austin for blanking against Chelsea and City. Also looking to upgrade Capoue > Allen which would give me that same Stoke cover.

I'm definitely playing Holebas. Free kicks, corners and have you seen Pool defend? 🙂

    Good to go?

Did Valencia to Keane for free.

    Schmeichel
    Keane / Pieters / Evans
    Sanchez / Redmond / Coutinho / Firmino
    Aguero © / Deeney / Lukaku

    (Jaku / Capoue / Friend / Kinglsey)

Foster. West Brom definitely tighter away, Leicester aren't exactly thumping in the goals, and Sunderland are everyone's whipping boys right now.

    Keep Siggy or no?

Swansea look awful but he manages to pick up points. He has (MUN, eve, CRY, tot) in the next 4 but has managed goals against Arsenal & Chelsea. Fixtures easy from GW15 for Swansea (SUN, wba, mid, WHU, BOU).

    My current Midfiled 3-5-2:
    Sanchez-Coutinho-Firmino-Siggy-Redmond

    Appreciate your thoughts!

Have 1 FT and 0.9 ITB. Which transfer is most pressing?

    A - Deeney > Austin / Bony

    D - Capoue > Allen

    Heaton - Pickford
    Vertonghen - Williams - Holebas - Pieters - Amat
    Sterling - Firminho - Coutinho - Wally - Capoue
    Kun - Lukaku - Deeney

Not selling, I was rating them for the coming gameweeks. Everyone is talking about Hazard and Sanchez because they bagged some goals this weekend. Meanwhile, my gut tells me KDB will outscore them both going forward.
