Two Swansea City old boys combine to see off the Welshman in the Potteries, as thousands of Fantasy managers profit from the continued form of a certain “number ten”. Here’s the Stock Check from the final Gameweek 10 fixture…

On the Rise

Joe Allen
Two assists sealed a third double-figure haul in the space of five Gameweeks as Allen’s flourishing form continued.

Buzzing around the hold-up play of Wilfried Bony, the 5.1 Fantasy Premier League option twice teamed up with the Ivorian to see off Swansea City.

Over 130,000 FPL managers brought Allen in ahead of Gameweek 10 to earn instant rewards. Given his current form and output, they will feel that he fully justifies a fourth midfielder role in our squads. Certainly, as a fifth midfielder in a 3-5-2, Allen looks destined to deliver.

However, it should be noted that Stoke City have played the current bottom three clubs in their last three outings. The trip to West Ham United could prove trickier for the Potters and Allen – particularly with Marko Arnautovic and potentially Xherdan Shaqiri both absent.

Wilfried Bony
Finally, after seven Premier League starts, Bony has sparked to life having ended his goal drought against his former club.

Priced at 7.3, it was hoped that the Ivorian could provide a mid-price option on his arrival at the bet365 stadium. That could now be the case, although the output currently being provided by Allen will undoubtedly dampen enthusiasm for Bony as an attacking option.

In Decline

Xherdan Shaqiri
Over 94,000 acquired the Swiss international off the back of his 15-point return at Hull City, only to see the playmaker limp from the field on 26 minutes. There’s no news as yet on the nature of the injury or a prognosis.

Marko Arnautovic
Perched on the suspension tightrope before Monday night’s encounter, the Austrian was unable to navigate the 90 minutes and, having received his fifth booking, will now miss the Gameweek 11 trip to West Ham.

With just a goal and an assist this season, Arnautovic has been a bitter disappoint after his 11-goal campaign last time out.

Stephen Kingsley
Brought back in at left-back for the Swansea City clean sheet against Watford last weekend, Kingsley was tonight inexplicably relegated to the reserves with Neil Taylor earning a recall.

With Jordi Amat ousted to the bench in Gameweek 9, it appears that we no longer have a 4.1 option available in the Swansea rearguard – perhaps that’s no major loss on the evidence of Monday night.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Thoughts on GW11 Team:

    Foster

    Bellerin McAuley Coleman

    Hazard Firmino Mane Allen

    Lukaku Rashford Aguero(c)

    Bench: Jaku Capoue Amat Collins

Plan on sorting my bench out over the next two GW's. Happy with this starting 11 for the next 2-3 GW's

This is why you should watch as much live games as possible.

If you did then you wouldve made the switch . Instead you let comments influence your judgement

I've not watched allen play all season. So is he looking dangerous? In all honesty I also had the saints vs hull game in mind and was trying to cover Austin. I'll reverse the switch if Austin blanks, which should open up sterling > haz.

Even without watching a game he should have been on your radar given all the other info we did have.

I also haven't watched him play at Stoke, but based on this information I got him in a few weeks ago:

          - he costs 4.8mil (at the time)
          - he's nailed on.
          - he's playing No.10
          - favorable fixtures
          - he costs 4.8mil
          - he had strong stats
          - Even playing as a DM in limited minutes he still could pick a pass and pop up with a goal at LIV and SWA
          - was showing good league and international form

          And.......

          - he only cost 4.8mil! 🙂

Hindsight is a funny thing, but if anyone ignored the facts above, you can't be too filthy if you've missed out on his points by refusing to get him in.

The good news is he's still cheap, the above facts still apply, and you still have time to get the new Mahrez. 😉

Well arnie isn't allen though. Allen seems to be stealing his thunder. Believe me, it's a proper gun to head moment bringing allen in. I won't be doing it this week as trades are already made so I'll give Redmond a chance vs Hull and then reassess then.

How the hell has everyone managed to get Sanchez in, I cant even begin to imagine what would I need to do to get him in one day without dropping must haves like Aguero:

    Cech - Pickford

    Alonso - Huth - Holebas - Pieters - Kingsley

    Walcott - Mane - Coutinho - Chadli - Capoue

    Aguero - Lukaku - Austin

No, it really isn't. You'd have to play 352 and you already have Liverpool cover with Coutinho. You could change Walcott to Firmino once you have Sanchez in if you wanted double Liverpool.

Trying to crowbar Haz, Sanchez, Aguero, Lukaku, Firminio, Countinho into a WC side sure aint easy! Would prob have to go 3-5-2 for the first time in a few seasons! If so...who for (regularly playing) 5th mid:

    a) Allen (allows for ok-ish defence, including Stones)
    b) Redmond (pretty awful defence)
    c) Gundagen (like his short term prospects, but agree minutes not guaranteed unlike a + b).

Deeney needs to go for me. 1 goal in the last 4 matches and he even fails to get shots on target.

    Choose:

    A) Wilson
    B) Bony

I have Austin already. So he's not an option.

    Appreciate your thoughts!

I too have Deeney. He's risen twice for me so I can profit by flogging him... But Liverpool defence is shocking and he is likely to nick a goal

Surely Pool defence is better than Hull. Hull at home was a plum fixtures for any striker in the league. Don't know how you can expect him to score against Pool away. Pool might even score 4/5 goals and Watford would be completely destroyed.

    Morning chaps / chapesses,

What are your thoughts on Gundogan?
Is he a worthy 4th Mid option given Citeh's next three fixtures?

        Just Kun up top.

Midfield has incredible choice this season. Extremely tough to pick 5

For this reason alone I would say Gundogan is a bad choice. So many better options

Stick with Bolasie or upgrade to Hazard?

Considering his price, Bolasie have done pretty well over last few weeks, so I'm not sure abt this move.

I am thinking of the same move, although it would be for a hit, as I need to do Valencia to fuchs first.
Should I go for it or wait to next week?

    Questions for this weekend:

    1. Allen (West Ham away) or Townsend (Burnley away) to start?

    2. Williams or Pieters to play?

    3. Who to replace Arnautovic? Walcott, Sterling or other (already covered for Liverpool midfielders)?

I'm swaying to Allen, Williams and Sterling as it stands.

My front 7 for the moment:

    Firmino - Couthino - Sanchez - Allen
    Kun - Benteke - Ibra

Give Ibra one last chance? Its against a struggling Swans. Or sell for Costa/Kaku?

Possible 4th mid option i think
