Two Swansea City old boys combine to see off the Welshman in the Potteries, as thousands of Fantasy managers profit from the continued form of a certain “number ten”. Here’s the Stock Check from the final Gameweek 10 fixture…

On the Rise

Joe Allen
Two assists sealed a third double-figure haul in the space of five Gameweeks as Allen’s flourishing form continued.

Buzzing around the hold-up play of Wilfried Bony, the 5.1 Fantasy Premier League option twice teamed up with the Ivorian to see off Swansea City.

Over 130,000 FPL managers brought Allen in ahead of Gameweek 10 to earn instant rewards. Given his current form and output, they will feel that he fully justifies a fourth midfielder role in our squads. Certainly, as a fifth midfielder in a 3-5-2, Allen looks destined to deliver.

However, it should be noted that Stoke City have played the current bottom three clubs in their last three outings. The trip to West Ham United could prove trickier for the Potters and Allen – particularly with Marko Arnautovic and potentially Xherdan Shaqiri both absent.

Wilfried Bony
Finally, after seven Premier League starts, Bony has sparked to life having ended his goal drought against his former club.

Priced at 7.3, it was hoped that the Ivorian could provide a mid-price option on his arrival at the bet365 stadium. That could now be the case, although the output currently being provided by Allen will undoubtedly dampen enthusiasm for Bony as an attacking option.

In Decline

Xherdan Shaqiri
Over 94,000 acquired the Swiss international off the back of his 15-point return at Hull City, only to see the playmaker limp from the field on 26 minutes. There’s no news as yet on the nature of the injury or a prognosis.

Marko Arnautovic
Perched on the suspension tightrope before Monday night’s encounter, the Austrian was unable to navigate the 90 minutes and, having received his fifth booking, will now miss the Gameweek 11 trip to West Ham.

With just a goal and an assist this season, Arnautovic has been a bitter disappoint after his 11-goal campaign last time out.

Stephen Kingsley
Brought back in at left-back for the Swansea City clean sheet against Watford last weekend, Kingsley was tonight inexplicably relegated to the reserves with Neil Taylor earning a recall.

With Jordi Amat ousted to the bench in Gameweek 9, it appears that we no longer have a 4.1 option available in the Swansea rearguard – perhaps that’s no major loss on the evidence of Monday night.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

It's dire this week, choice of: Capoue vs liv or Fer vs MUN

So I'm considering a hit to do Fer > Redmond OR Fer > Allen.
Southampton's fixtures look great all the way through to February (except Liv GW12 and Spurs 28th Dec). Though it does use up 1.0m which might be needed for Cout/Firm > Hazard in several weeks if Hazard keeps up this form. Hence Allen in instead.

    So
    A) Fer > Redmond -4
    B) Fer> Allen -4 and at least get some price rises for later in the season.
    C) Do nothing

Any West Brom fans about or anyone who can predict the team line up?

I currently own Valencia (Man utd) who is injured and was thinking of swapping him for a West Brom defender due to good fixtures coming up.

    A) Should I go for Brunt who got his first full 90 mins this week and was playing in midfield. Also some set pieces. Is he going to nail down a postion in midfield? 4.9 million.
    B) Should i get in Nyom currently first choice left back and only 4.3 million.
    C) Play it safe and bring in Evans 4.5 million

How good is Gundogan as a FPL prospect.

His stats - shots and chances created, look fantastic over the last couple of games without KDB (or when Silva came off for KDB last game) but can all 3 coexist together - it just seems like KDB and Silva will play much further forward than Gundogan which leaves him to through balls and the very very occasional burst into the box - for 5.5M still might be decent but would you rather Walcott / Firm or Hazard / Gundogan, as an enabler is he better than 2 mid priced MFs

Any thoughts on this team with 6 big hitters?
Considering keeping my midfield and forwards fixed and keeping transfers for budget defenders dependent on fixtures.

    Grant, Pickford
    Stones, Holebas, Francis, Nyom, Lenihan
Sanchez, Hazard, Firmino, Allen, De Roon
    Aguero, Costa, Lukaku

Coutinho better than Firm as FPL prospect this year so far - would go with him as pool coverage
Could work but do you need costa and hazard - i would stick with one and upgrade your defence - get in Alonso and others
Costa to Austin and use the cash to upgrade De Roon to Siggy or the like

I think whoever you don't own, (assuming you go for 2/3
(from Mane, Couts, Firm) - you will be scared of the third one.

Although I've only just got him in, of all the Liv mids, I feel Couts is top.

Originally owned Mane, now I've added Couts to the ranks.

Rooty this is my dilemma. I've had Firms for a while now but I'm starting to get slightly edgy with Couts consistently deliver big points, but then you know if you swap Firms he will starting scoring big points, typical FF.

    Heaton, Pickford
    *Valencia*, Williams, Holebas, Evans, Amat
    Mane, Sterling, *Walcott*, Redmond, Fletcher
    Aguero, Ibra, Lukau

    If Walcott is out:
    A. Walcott + Valencia to Coutinho + Cedric (if fit)

    Heaton

    Francis, Fuchs, Walker

    Firm, Cout, Allen, Sanchez

    Kun, Kaku, Austin

    Shaqiri*, Evans, Love*

Spent my FT on bringing Fuchs in.

Should I go Shaq -> Redmond for -4??

I don't really need to do it from a team POV this week should i wait and do it for free?

I need some opinion here. What can I do to this my current team?

    Grant (Foster)

Walker - Holebas - Koscielny (Amat, McAuley)
Sanchez - Coutinho - Firmino - Capoue (Barry)
    Aguero - Lukaku - Deeney

    A. I'm thinking of bringing in Fuchs, who should go? Koscielny or Walker?
    B. Should I get rid of Capoue? Im thinking to bring in Allen.

I only have 1FT, should I take the hit and do both A and B?

Or should I choose one between A or B?

Or should i do none of them?

    Thank you in advanced!

    WC team:
    Heaton-Grant
    Smith-Prodl-Friend-Pieters-Lenihan
    Hazard-Coutinho-Sanchez-Gundogan-Allen
    Aguero-Costa-Lukaku

Any thoughts on that attacking minded lineup? Thnx
