Big names from Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea feature in our picks this week, with Sunderland’s marauding left-back completing a trio of differentials as we edge closer to the Gameweek 12 deadline.

Harry Kane

Sidelined for around seven weeks with an ankle injury before his return against Arsenal, Tottenham’s Harry Kane currently sits in just 5.6% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) squads.

The England international took little time to remind us of his quality by scoring from the penalty spot in the 1-1 draw, and now looks primed for investment ahead of four excellent home fixtures (WHM, SWA, HUL, BUR) in the next six.

Last season’s Golden Boot winner with 25 goals, Kane could be a viable captain choice for those home match-ups, potentially proving to be a devastating differential.

Although he has endured a slow start to the campaign, due to both a lack of form and stint on the treatment table, the Spurs frontman has still averaged a reasonable 5.3 points per match.

Indeed, he’s blanked just twice in six appearances, producing three goals and an assist to date.

Later today, Kane will come up against a West Ham side that have conceded 11 goals in their five away matches so far. Encouragingly, the Spurs striker netted twice in the corresponding fixture last season.

Available at 10.7 in FPL, Kane looks ideally placed to throw a spanner in the works and shake up our three-man forward lines in time for the festive period.

Patrick van Aanholt

Playing host to a Hull City side that have conceded the second highest number of goals (10) over the last four rounds of fixtures, Sunderland’s Patrick van Aanholt could be worth a gamble this week.

The Black Cats will come into this match buoyed after picking up their first win of the season at Bournemouth before the international break.

Van Aanholt, who sets us back 5.0 in FPL, has already scored in home matches against Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion this season, and should get plenty of opportunities to bomb forward from left-back.

The Dutchman tallied an impressive 127 points in FPL last season, having produced six goals and four assists in terms of attacking returns, and remains one of Sunderland’s most potent attacking weapons outside of Jermain Defoe.

Currently owned by just 4.1% of FPL bosses, Van Aanholt seems a decent shout to score some decent points over the coming period, given the Black Cats also face the likes of Swansea, Watford and Burnley before the turn of the year.

Pedro

Having registered two goals and four assists over the last four Gameweeks, Chelsea’s Pedro has undoubtedly been one of the main beneficiaries of Antonio Conte’s decision to switch to a 3-4-3 formation.

The Spaniard has usurped Willian on the right to seemingly cement his spot in the starting XI, and now looks to offer great value at just 7.2 in FPL.

Pedro has totaled seven goal attempts over the last four Gameweeks, with four of those coming from inside the box, while he’s also created nine chances over the same period, one more than team-mate Eden Hazard.

Chelsea travel to the Riverside tomorrow to take on a Middlesbrough side that has been impressive from a defensive standpoint in particular over the last few weeks, conceding just two goals in their last four matches.

In particular, Aitor Karanka’s side have produced resolute displays in away matches to Arsenal and Man City, but the onus will be on ‘Boro to come out with more of an attacking intent on home soil, perhaps playing into the hands of the visitors.

Pedro could also benefit if George Friend is ruled out for the hosts, with the left-back a doubt after picking up a knock to his knee in training, perhaps providing a weakness for Chelsea to exploit.

While Hazard has been the most transferred in player this week, with over 252,000 FPL bosses drafting him in, Pedro has also attracted 70,000+ new owners.

His ownership remains at a meagre 2.5%, though, with the in-form Spaniard offering potential in the mid-price bracket as the Blues prepare for some fine fixtures from Gameweek 15 onwards.

I'm still undecided between Aguero and Lukaku. Been moving between the two most of yesterday.

I think both will do well - just a question of picking the one that will do better.

Aguero has stats on his side plus away form.

Lukaku has home form in his side plus Swansea have been leakier.

Also at home Palace tend to concede more goals to mids and defs - which makes me wonder if kdb will be the one to profit more.

        It's a tough call.

I don't think Lukaku is a risky punt at all. My mini leagues have all sorts of permutations with some Aguero less, some Lukaku less. For me it's not an ownership issue -It's really just a question of who I think will score more.

Yeah, If you own both I doubt their will be much difference who you pick. Just feel it's not worth taking the ''risk'' for say a 4-6pt possible difference.

Aguero. Some form and against Palace who'll let anyone have a goal or two... Plus I don't trust Kaku enough yet this season. He's not the troll of old it seems, but how will he (and they) respond to the 5-0 last time.

I'm on Lukaku. With City's away fixture in the CL coming up, Pep might rest Aguero. Everton need a response after the Chelsea defeat, and who better to do it against than the awfully out of form team that is Swansea?

I'm currently with Lukaku but think both will score. I just wonder how City's goals will fall and whether, even if Aguero does score, whether he'll get bonus. I think Lukaku is slightly more assured of those points. Plus there's the minutes thing. Little chance of Lukaku being preserved with 15 minutes to go - Aguero definitely could.

A couple of mistakes and he'll be dropped, just wise not to drop him as soon as Mannone is back cause Pickford is young and it would be harsh on him. These quotes don't convince me that Mannone won't regain number one spot soon, but it's good news Pickford will hold on to it for a little while longer at least

thinking whether to take a hit for a defender and if so, which one...have 1.5m itb

      Heaton -- grant
Fuchs pieters Amat --- smith holebas
      Walcott firmino coutinho hazard
      Kun Kaku Austin

      A: Amat >> McCauley or 5.6m def
      - removes a non starter
      - gw15 looks tough fixture wise for all my defenders so might do Fuchs >> alonso then
      - good fixtures

      B: smith >> alonso
      - plan was to bring in a Chelsea def in gw15 so might as well bring now
      - Bournemouth have tough fixtures so probably a good time to get rid
      - always a small chance that Amat will become a starter again

Since I am taking a hit, would make more sense to get rid of the non starter?

Bit late but appreciate thoughts on options below. Midfield is Sanchez Mane Coutinho Gundo Capoue.

        Want Hazard long term.

Would you ditch Mane, Coutinho or Sanchez?

Mane seems abit more straightforward than the others.

I heard Jonty salivating about the Sunderland at home game on the podcast, worth remembering that that game is less than 48 hours after they play Man City though.

As far as the Christmas schedule goes, it's all about Chelsea and Spurs for me.

Is getting more minutes I think will start. But due to OOP people may be doing this in hope more than expectations or at least putting the issue of not being nailed to the back of their minds. I think if does not hold mid position should still be good for defence spot.

I looked at a WBA fan forum. They're not talking about the possibility of him not starting. He's in the mid formations. They think he might be pushed back to def, but unlikely. Only thing is that he might get subbed by 60-70.

The correct order to do these transfer starting GW 13 is correct. Note I have Alonso so don't want Chelsea double defence for bad 13 &14 fixtures

        A. GW13 Bellerin and Sanchez to Evans and Walcott for -4

I'm 0.1 short of Lukaku > Kane for free next week. Could do Kos > Alonso to get that 0.1 but expecting Kane to rise in price. Then again Lukaku might go up to 10 million too. Also all feels a bit sideways right now. Maybe Lovren >4.5 downgrade to get the Kane cash and leave Chelsea defender until 15.

Who is planning on getting Kane and what moves does it require for you?
