Our first members article of the week delves into the Gameweek 12 data.

We analyse Eden Hazard’s home and away performances and compare Harry Kane’s numbers against last season’s Golden Boot displays.

Victor Anichebe’s impact on Jermain Defoe comes under analysis, while we also run the rule over Watford’s raiding wing-backs, Swansea and Palace’s form midfielders and a downturn in output from Everton’s main man.

Conte doesn't seem to be the type of manager who rotates frequently, he's found a winning formula and he's likely to stick with it for the foreseeable future, imo.

If you've got a Liverpool midfielder surely it has to be one of them this week? Think Burnley away is tough for any team, even City.

I have Coutinho and Firmino but the problem is, the Liverpool midfielders are a lottery. It could 5-0 with Milner, a defender from a set piece and Mane scoring them all or it could be Coutinho and Firmino with Mane and Milner doing nothing.

After seeing multiple times in multiple places over the last few years data suggesting that almost everyone would have had better captain points over the season had they capped Aguero every game than moved the armband around, I vowed to captain Aguero every week this season.

I'm now planning to cap Coutinho, but it's against my gut. In my current position I think it's the safe choice.

Does anyone know (or have stats on) whether Ozil performs better when Giroud is in the side vs. when Giroud is out? Seem to recall something similar regarding Sanchez's output when Giroud is playing.

Not that worried. They still created chances against a good Southampton side. Firmino and Coutinho could have quite easily scored and assisted in that game, plus they'd had long flights.

      Happy playing both.

Didn't see any highlights of the Saints match, but the fact they didn't score has to be a worry. Did see a match recently(think it was a cup match) where they hadn't scored in the first half, brought Lala of the bench, he changed the match completely, and they went on to win easily.

Alright chaps. What would you do with this mess (currently 600+k!)?

    -------------Karius
    ---Kosc - Stones - Amat
    Sanch - Cout - Firmino - Gundogan
    ----Kun - Tekkers - Austin

Bench: Pickf == Capoue - Williams - Friend
    1FT & 0.8 ITB

Even though my DF is in a right state I'm leaning towards replacing Gundy & Tekkers.

    A) Gundy & Tekkers > Siggy & Rondon (-4)

    Alonso McAuley Fuchs Amat (Friend)
Hazard Cout Firm (Allen, De Roon)
    Kun Kaku Deeney
    1 FT, 1.9 ITB

    For this GW, would you:

    b) Deeney > Costa/ Kane

    c) Save?

    1. Pegboy
      • 15 Years

        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

You're right, it should've read a Lukaku to Costa/ Kane.

I'd love to do Allen to Siggy but 0.2 short. So the Fuchs to Cedric move would be the enabler.

        What do you think?

        1. Pegboy
          • 15 Years
          9 years, 27 days ago

I'd probably do Deeney > Austin as the enabler, but either are decent long-term moves.

Kinda all depends what you want to do with Lukaku. If you're deadset on upgrading, you need to plan these moves accordingly.

I really like it! Listened to it for the first time yesterday. All know what they are talking about. Not as much banter as there is in the Scoutcast of course.

Do you people think Long will be a starter after being fit again? Is losing Wilshere for Long a good move in a draft league?

Coutinho, in my opinion. Firmino drops deeper and looks to be more involved in key passes - though if they go on a rampage, everyone will score

Having said that, Liverpool are slightly off whenever Lallana doesn't play - so might want to consider Haz/Kun for captaincy 🙂

I think it's worth noting that if Sturridge plays (and he was usually subbed for Lallana), Coutinho goes deeper, leaving Firm and Mane on the flanks.

I know that last game Klopp left Stur on the bench, but he can change his mind this time and Cout could play deeper.

I am very happy to own Mane this GW, no headache with captaincy - he's my man! 🙂

Might want to hold on to Lukaku for another week (i haven't though), just so that you have 2 free transfers to get Kane in if you want

Bit stuck as to what to do this week, 1FT 0.8 ITB:

    Heaton
    Clyne McAuley Holebas
    Sanchez Hazard Lallana* Snodgrass
    Aguero Lukaku Benteke

Do any of these look good?

    A) Sanchez + Lallana > Coutinho + Firmino -4
    B) Lukaku + Lallana > Austin + Coutinho -4
    C) Save and play Capoue
    D) Something else?

    Heaton, Jaku
    Holebas, Evans, Walker, Fuchs, Amat
    Sanchez, Walcott, Firmino, Couts, Allen
    Kun, Lukaku, Austin
    2FT 0.0 ITB

So barring injuries today, plan is Fuchs->Cedric and float the other FT. Also going between Sanchez and Firmino as C. Thoughts?

Doubled up on West Brom defenders last week and it paid off.

Away to Hull this weekend should I stick or swap 1 of McCauley/Evans with a defender from another club

Basically asking the likeliness of West Brom having another clean sheet.

    Cheers.

    Foster - (Jaku*)
    Brunt - Amat - Pieters - (Francis) - (Martina*)
    Coutinho - Firmino - Walcott - Hazard - Redmond
    Aguero - Lukaku - (Wilson)

    With 1 FT .. 0.1 itb

A little easier for me because I'm only concerned with my little three man mini league.

My brother sold Sanchez during the IB and my son never had him. They do however both have Aguero and i don't, which I think is a bit scary for me this week.

I'm now turning my mind to Sanchez and Lukaku > Siggy and Aguero (c)....to preserve my lead.

Dropping Sanchez can't hurt me now.

    Good move?....(ignore OR)
