A busy Friday continue apace as we roll out our pre-Gameweek members article, offering insight on the armband conundrum for the upcoming round of fixtures.

To get underway, we check out the main contenders in this week’s Captain Poll, then cast an eye over the Opta numbers and analyse the Rate My Team ratings before offering a couple of differential options in light of the analysis.

The Captain Poll

At the time of writing, Sergio Aguero narrowly leads the Captain Poll with 27% of the votes cast ahead of Man City’s trip to Burnley.

The Man City striker has bagged a brace in three of his five away appearances ahead of a trip to Burnley, but some will now be reconsidering after Pep Guardiola admitted that the Argentine “has a problem with his foot” and is set to be assessed after training later today. Aguero was later photographed during that training session.

With just 2% backing, Kevin De Bruyne could emerge as a differential option – the City playmaker has produced returns in all five of his away outings.

So far, though, the Clarets have been anything but pushovers in front of their own fans.

Sean Dyche’s side may toil on their travels but have conceded just six times in seven home fixtures, shipping more than one goal on a single occasion.

Liverpool’s front three are also amongst the armband favourites ahead of a home encounter with Sunderland tomorrow afternoon.

Owned by over 46% of Fantasy Premier League managers, Philippe Coutinho is the favoured Reds’ pick for the Gameweek 13 Captain Poll.

Just under 26% of voters are backing the Brazilian, who has served up double-figures in three of his last four Anfield appearances.

Coutinho’s team-mates Roberto Firmino (16%) and Sadio Mane (3%) are shaping up to be handy differentials.

Firmino has produced a goal or assist in four of the last six Gameweeks and delivered 15 points on two occasions at home already. Mane has five goals in as many Anfield appearances, with all three of his double-figure returns arriving at home.

Alexis Sanchez has persuaded just 8% of voters to take the plunge despite a plum home clash against Bournemouth.

The Arsenal man has struggled for form of late, scoring in just one of the last six Gameweeks, and was moved to the flank against PSG in midweek. Furthermore, he’s netted just once in six home appearances, compared to five strikes on the road.

A home clash with Spurs means that Chelsea pair Eden Hazard and Diego Costa 3% and 2% of the votes respectively.

With Toby Alderweireld still injured and Danny Rose suspended, the Blues will fancy their chances of grabbing a seventh straight win on Saturday night.

Costa has proven the most consistent performer of the season so far, supplying a goal or assist in 10 of the first 12 Gameweeks on his way to the top of the FPL forwards standings.

Hazard has been relentless at the Bridge, though – he’s netted in all but one of six home appearances and collected 58 of his 86 points at home.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic earns just 2% of the votes, having blanked in six successive Gameweeks prior to scoring twice at Swansea in his previous league appearance.

After serving a one-match suspension, the United frontman now welcomes West Ham to Old Trafford and could persuade some Aguero owners to take the plunge prior to tomorrow’s deadline, bearing in mind that City face Chelsea next week.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Sore foot, was meant to train today at 4pm.

Nothing on the social media about how that went.

City down in 3rd now. I say he plays. Kick on the foot is likely a bruise that can be wrapped and given a pain killing shot.

Pep said "no injury" but, in the same sentence, said he had a problem with his foot be assessed after training. He trained, was pictured training and presumably was assessed. That's about it.

Countless reports and all match previews, BBC, Guardian, Telegraph, Premier League etc etc all reporting he will be assessed.

      Quote from Telegraph here..

"City will assess striker Sergio Aguero ahead of Saturday's lunchtime game. Manager Pep Guardiola says the Argentina forward ended the midweek Champions League clash at Borussia Monchengladbach "not injured, but with a little problem in his foot".

Daily Mail story here is linked above.
      http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3972482/Sergio-Aguero-tests-foot-injury-Pep-Guardiola-s-train-floodlights-ahead-early-kick-against-Burnley.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490

Presumably these sources had reporters in the room with Pep earlier today.

Potential owners of Cedric, for me I think he will be rested for two of their very favourable fixtures over Christmas.

CEDRIC Southampton v Everton Sun 27 Nov
MARTINA Arsenal v Southampton Wed 30 Nov (EFL CUP)
CEDRIC Crystal Palace v Southampton Sat 3 Dec
MARTINA Southampton v Hapoel Be'er Sheva Thu 8 Dec
CEDRIC Southampton v Middlesbrough Sun 11 Dec
MARTINA Stoke City v Southampton Wed 14 Dec
CEDRIC Bournemouth v Southampton Sun 18 Dec
CEDRIC Southampton v Tottenham Hotspur Wed 28 Dec
MARTINA Southampton v West Bromwich Albion Sat 31 Dec
CEDRIC Everton v Southampton Mon 2 Jan

Out of the games we care about that would mean he misses WBA and sto. Leaving him with EVE cpl MID bou TOT eve.
I want a Saints defender but will be looking at VVD or Fonte who will be less likely to be rotated imo.

SCOUT PICKS CHALLENGE - GAMEWEEK 12

    GW11 results tomorrow, apologies.

    ****** WHAT IS IT? ******

For those of you who haven't been around or aren't aware, every evening prior to the start of the gameweek FFS releases their picks of players for the gameweek, "Scout Picks", as well as 3 differentials before the first games to separate yourself from the crowd.

This is your way to have a bit of fun and challenge those scout picks with a set of your own (read instructions below). This will always open the day before the gameweek starts around 8pm, and whilst you don't have to play weekly, the more you play the better chance you have of winning!

Gameweek winners will also be awarded a spot in the Community Roundup article.

    ****** INSTRUCTIONS ******

Everyone can have their own scout picks (there is no limit on team value) but with one simple rule,

YOU CAN ONLY PICK ONE PLAYER FROM EACH TEAM
(yes, two of your players at least will be on opposing teams).

You can only have ONE submission, and your FIRST submission will be what is accepted. You also must respond DIRECTLY to this post (not to a reply on this post). FFS Scout Picks are automatically enrolled. Teams must comply with FPL formation rules and be submitted in an easy to read format, e.g.

    GK
    DEF DEF DEF
    MID MID MID MID
    FOR FOR FOR

Deadline for this gameweek is Saturday 26th November, 11.30am.

    ****** SCORING ******

Regardless of number of applicants, scoring will be done by the following:

    1st place: 3 points
Top 4% of the population will rank "second" and score 2 points.
Top 10% of the population will rank "third" and score 1 point.

There is also a bonus point which everyone is eligible for. If you score higher than FFS' Scout Picks AND Differential Picks (i.e. 14 players), you will be awarded with a bonus point regardless of whether you were in the top 10% scoring positions or not.

Welcome to the game, and good luck.

    ***** THE STANDINGS *****

    Struggling on this one guys.

Been holding on to Chadli for a few weeks now due to west booms good fixtures. With it looking likely for him to miss out on another game, would it be a sensible move to swap him out for Phillips on a FT?

When do we reckon Chadli will break back into the in-form baggies side? Could it be worth holding onto him for another week or better to have Phillips as a cover for the Hull game?

Transfer him out imo. If Chadli doesn't make an appearance at the weekend the flag will remain on him and you'll continue to lose money on. Pulis has also mentioned that he will ease him back into the team because of their current form. By the time Chadli is fully back their fixtures will have turned bad.

It all boils down to Bobby or Phil? Could be a crucial decision as all my chasers have both too! Some reason I think Firm but not sure why as Coutinho often looks better when I watch them! So close though

Fair comment, has Coutinho not been the heartbeat since?

They smashed Hull recently and he blanked again so I guess he has it in him to miss out on the big ones.
