Gameweek 13 is now brought to a conclusion with a couple of late Sunday afternoon kick-offs.

Manchester United entertain West Ham United at Old Trafford, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic back in contention after serving a one-match ban.

The big Swede notched twice in his previous league appearance and faces a defence that’s been breached 14 times in six road trips already.

Juan Mata, meanwhile, earned over 52,000 transfers in last week after bagging the opener at home to Arsenal.

Michail Antonio is the Hammers’ top scoring FPL asset, having served up a goal and assist in the last two Gameweeks. The midfielder has already netted against Man City, West Brom and Spurs away from home, though sits just one yellow shy of a single-match ban today.

Southampton and Everton go head-to-head at St Mary’s in the other 4.30 fixture.

The Saints’ defence kept Liverpool at bay last time out and could come under increased FPL interest if they can repel former manager Ronald Koeman’s Toffees.

Romelu Lukaku has netted just once in his last four league outings and suffered a price drop in the previous Gameweek.

With Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool in the next four, the Everton talisman needs a return to form this afternoon to stave off further transfers out.

      43 here.

Could've been a lot different had I kept Benteke and bought Walcott as I had planned 🙂

      661 pts overall.

57 -4 (53) but had touse my transfer alriddy with Cout to Frim so I'm vulnerable to a Cedric price rise. May have to take a hit if he gets in the nervous nineties later in the week.

Just going to leave this here. Not to say I told you so but to show the importance of making your own decisions and not getting swept up in bandwagons you don't believe in.

The reaction to this comment is what's interesting.

It's very easy to say with hindsight isn't it. After his haul I looked at it and tried to think logically about it. I didn't like the look of mid,TOT,mci so decided against him. Will most definitely be bringing him in after this week though! Those fixtures. Drool.

Getting Hazard wasn't the worst move. But the amount of people who were dropping Sanchez for it was ridiculous. They couldn't take one look at the next three fixtures and realize that Sanchez was the better pick.

I was blind sided by potentially price rises that never really materialised. That and panicking at the sanchez injury that never was.

Oh well you learn - or not!

I think the prospect of the price rises played a huge part in it, along with a lot of other midfielders having slight injuries or other problems. I think I had Son back then, for example, so may as well have transferred him out for Haz (can't remember if this is what I did though).

Exactly. You know, a big hitter gets in superb form, his price surges and if you don't jump that wagon early on you will never catch it and have to watch the guy bring in double digit hauls to his owners all season while you try to manage decent points from second row choices.

Don't get me wrong, I've missed plenty of wagons that haven't stopped rolling. Costa is the one that hurts. I bought into the concern that her doesn't get baps and gets too many yellow cards.

Any price changes from previous weeks are a sunk cost. I'm going to get Costa in for these good fixtures and try to forget that I could've got him cheaper because he's still good value now

          • 9 Years

Price rises are overrated. Unless you're in a situation where if you don't catch a rise, you will no longer be able to afford that player, it's not necessary. For Sanchez owners, Hazard was always affordable regardless of price rises because it was a straight swap, so I never worried about it.

Many may have upgraded some mid-pricer for Haz though, and for them that was a valid concern.

Yes, that's fine. That's why I said that only dropping Sanchez for Hazard did not make sense.

How are you planning to get Hazard in for GW15 though? I won't be able to afford him without selling Sanchez. And Sanchez has Stoke that week. I think I'll be settling for Pedro (already have Costa and Alonso)

Agree here .There seems a bit of a herd mentality of chasing next weeks big shiny thing rather than being patient. Set my stall out to keep with the Kun/Sanchez/Haz trio and will stick with these for better or worse. Of course they wont score a brace every week but I'm confident long term they'll score the most.

Deeney+cout out for Kane and 6m or lower mid

    Current thoughts
    a) redmond - grt fixtures, have a good feeling about him

    b) Matt Philipps - cheapest option im considering, decent form, leaves 0.8 itb for def upgrades

    c) Zaha - good consistent current form

    d) fer?

    Heaton Pickford
    Lovren Holebas Evans Pieters Amat
    Sanchez Hazard Firmino Gundogan Fletcher
    Aguero Kane Austin
    Bank: 1 FT and 1.6m

Really need to cut Gundogan loose (will lose 0.1m selling value tonight) but nothing screaming at me with a budget of only 7m. Any suggestions? I could also take the -4 and downgrade Lovren or Holebas to give me enough to get Siggy?

Hi gang, just wanted a bit of advice on whether the following potential hit was sensible: Coleman, Allen and Lukaku for Cedric, Zaha and Kane for a -4

Reason being that Everton are in terrible form and don't likely to emerge from that, whilst Allen is not playing in the no 10 role anymore due to Bojan's re-emergence.

    Would leave me with:

    Boruc-Pickford
    Cedric-Lovren-Evans-Holebas-Amat
    Hazard-Sanchez-Firmino-Zaha-Holjberg
    Aguero-Kane-Austin

    Thanks guys!

Yes, five assists in five is great value at 5.4M. I'm looking at replacing him with Allen.

I've just transferred out lukaku and brought in Kane and my squad value has dropped from 103.1 to 102.7?

I got lukaku near the beginning before his hatrick, how does this make sense? I was selling him to avoid price drops (and because I think Kane is the better option going foward)

Did you only transfer Lukaku out? Selling value is less than the price displayed

Is lukaku to Kane worth the -4?

Could we get a hot topic on it ?

Mourinho and Pardew are both managers who make it all about themselves when they win and blame everyone bar themselves when they lose.

It's no surprise that their respective sides have been poor so far this year, imagine working for someone like that.

      Austin: CRY (A), MID (H), STK (A), BOU (A)
      Defoe: LEI (H), SWA (A), CHE (H), WAT (H)

Get your crystal balls out and tell me who's gonna get more points.

Went with Austin myself last week. Southampton aren't scoring much so I'm sure they'll improve

So I did Sanchez to coutinho few wks ago. His points been killing me in MLS. Kept the money itb. Decided to do Redmond to siggy Fri nite. Therfore spending most of the funds. Now coutinho is out iv no bloody funds. Haha.

Can get sanchez bk for coutinho if I downgrade Austin to Anichebe but then I'm stuck with lukaku and no Kane.

        What to do??

I'm definitely looking at having Kane for the next three - Swans and Hull at Home too good to miss, but depending on form might switch to Costa gw17-18 when Chelsea have Palace, Bournemouth, Stoke.

Should I take any hits to change the following? Defence is massively underperforming...

        Foster
        Alonso, Williams, Fuchs
        Siggy, Haz, Firm, Snoddy
        Aguero, Kane, Defoe

        Pickford, Allen, Amat, Lenihan

Zaha and Anichebe rotate pretty well. Apart from GW 16 in the next 13 or so weeks, they have a good rotation of fixtures, and usually have good fixtures at the same time. Seems ideal for someone who wants to shift weekly from 3-5-2 to 3-4-3 based on fixtures.
