Regrets come hand-in-hand with Fantasy Football – if you get through the season without one, you’re either extremely fortunate or you just don’t care enough. Either way, you’re unlikely to be reading this.

Most of us of come to terms with them, have learnt to ride them out and plough on regardless but, even I’ve got to admit, Alexis Sanchez’ Gameweek 14 stung a bit.

Thankfully, with Sergio Aguero harbouring his own regrets, my path to sheepishly welcome Sanchez back into the fold is signposted rather clearly.

The Sanchez wounds and the Aguero fall-out dominate this week’s ScoutCast, which also marks a debut for moderator and long-time community member AZ. He steps in with Granville tangled in political red tape to join Jonty, Andy and myself for a lengthy and lively episode.

We gripe about the volatile market, quiver in fear at the idea of the “Titan teams” and, of course, preview the weekend with a scattering of statistics, speculation and pure guesswork.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    A - Make that a -12 and do Austin > Ineanacho
    or
B - Play one of Fletcher, Evans or Pieters?

    Here's a tough one ...

Who are the best 3 defenders who cost £14.3m or less?

My other 2 defenders are Ake and Amat.

    Hello all:

Question for members (who, like me, have access to the stats):

    (C) for this week:

    A. Hazard (WBA)
    B. Sanchez (STO)
    C. Firmino (WHM)
    D. Siggy (SUN)
    E. Costa (WBA)

It's actually a bit of a poser if you consider the team defending stats the candidates face. I'm thinking Sanchez and Siggy are the first eliminated, but it I can't find the criterion with which to separate between Hazard, Firmino and Costa. Costa's yellow flag might drop him out of the running, but which of Hazard and Firmino takes the prize?

    Thanks for your thoughts!

    Morning all,

With Austin injury I'm considering a hit but already on a -4. Other option is to play Capoue this week and then assess as had an eye on Carroll as opposed to Nacho but feel it's a week early.

Am I mad to be considering Carroll over Nacho? am I equally mad for playing Capoue rather than taking a hit....surely we have a bench for a reason....

    1. Pompel
      • 11 Years
      9 years, 1 month ago

No, I'm also thinking it might be prudent to just bench Austin this GW and play bench player.

Thanks, I think assessing this week would be wise, Nacho likely to start but not guaranteed, Carroll, Llorente, Gray all possible alternatives in that price range....I'm going to hold this week and make move next I think. Capoue getting a run out from my bench for the first time, hopefully it's one of his weeks.

Agreed, I am playing a bench player (Allen) and using the weekend to assess

Still gaining a bit of match fitness so I feel it's a risk this week....but if he plays 60 mins or comes on as a sub and scores again, he is almost certainly coming into my team

    Alonso, Ake, Cedric (barragan, amat)

    Heaton (Jaku)
    Coleman Cedric Alonso (Amat McAulay)
    Firmino Siggy Hazard Sanchez (Fletcher)
    Kane Costa Austin

    0FT, 0.1ITB

    Austin out for:
    A) Iheanacho
    B) Origi
    C) Anichebe
    D) Caroll +0.5 ITB

If I bring in Anichebe I can upgrade Coleman to Walker/Alderweirel and Siggy to Eriksen if I want. Siggy facing Boro and WestBrom away, while Spurs playing Hull and Burnley home.

Missed the price rise on Defoe :'( but is

Rondon > Defoe (-4) still worth it?

    A. Kane (mun)
    B. Redmond (MID)
    C. Anichebe (swa)

    Thanks!

Sorry, "which one to bench" is really a better way to ask what I mean.
