Dugout Discussion – Liverpool vs West Ham United

The final match of Gameweek 15 sees Liverpool welcome West Ham United to Anfield in the 4.30pm kick-off.

Both Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are highly fancied against a Hammers defence that shipped five at home to Arsenal last weekend.

Mane has served up points in five of his six home outings, whilst Firmino will be looking to banish a three-match barren run and return to the form that has already seen him register 15 points in front of his own supporters on two occasions.

Divock Origi looks to score for the fourth successive match in all competitions to strengthen his claim as a mid-price festive frontman.

West Ham, meanwhile, have home encounters with Burnley and Hull followed by a trip to Swansea in the upcoming three Gameweeks.

We’ll be looking for signs of form from Dimitri Payet and the fit-again Michail Antonio, then, while big Andy Carroll is named amongst the subs against his former club, having emerged from the bench to net the Hammers’ consolation against Arsenal last time out.

    Is 352 the way to go now? Feel there is better value at 6ish in midfield than up front at 4.7 at least Anichebe is going get the odd goal unlike the 4.7 mids.

    What are your thoughts on United's back line?

    They've got a brilliant set of upcoming fixtures and Jones (4.7) and Darmian (5.0) come in very cheap.

    The only issue for me is the likes of Bailly, Smalling and Shaw waiting in the wings when they come back from injury. What's the likelihood of them getting their places back straight away?

    Is Payet really such a good pick

    Doesn't get into the box much , team out of form , no pens and is not likely to pick up tap in goals

    But class players , free kicks , corners and central to anything they do and fixtures

    Firmino's positioning today wasn't too bad on the whole.

    The time to sell was 2-3 weeks ago IMO. It's not like he's not going to score or assist for another 10 weeks in a row. Mean reversion and all that
