With a break in our open to all Fantasy Premier League cup competition during the midweek fixtures, we spend some time this evening to see who has made it through to fifth round, which takes place during Gameweek 17 this coming weekend.

A reminder that, for this latest contest, there are more than £1,000 worth of prizes for UK based entrants courtesy of our partner FanDuel, as well as £350 in Amazon vouchers to the top three managers at the end of the competition.

In addition the highest scoring manager each round wins a £30 FanDuel credit, with community regular Moin earning this prize after his 65 point Gameweek 15 haul. He next faces msq22 in round five.

The next four highest scoring managers in round four win a £10 FanDuel credit. These will be handed out to Pinky Unites, who scored 63, DJDave1979, who scored 61 along with twobitgooner, and BC1, Bashvilla, Hagop, who all hit the 60 point mark.

The highest placed manager left in the competition is 216 ranked Bacuna Matata, who along with Pink Unites, won a £30 FanDuel voucher for the top highest score back in the third round.

The unfortunate manager to face this early frontrunner to win the competition is lowlifegimpe, who is ranked 337,555.

In a closely fought contest, our only remaining Fantasy Football Scout staff representative, TorresMagic, has made it through to round five, after squeezing past Zambhino10 by just a single point.

The moderator has another tough encounter in store when he takes on Smooth Rossi, who at 6,687 in the overall rankings is more than 7,000 places above him.

Other eye catching ties taking place in round five include Funkyav’s clash with Big Phil Soccer Team and Cobberlsnz taking on Bash Villa, who incidentally sent me packing back in the first round.

The fourth round results can be found via this link, while the full fifth round draw can be found here.

Good luck to those still involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

Still worth bringing in Siggy or have I missed the train?
    What would you do?

    A) Firmino > Siggy (wba)
    B) Firmino > Payet (BUR)
    C) Firmino > Eriksen? (HUL)
    D) Save

Would normally give Firmino another chance but he's been unconvincing and MID aren't pushovers at home.

A large % of posters on here aren't aware of FPL Stats and have to ask over and over and over and over and over again if a player is rising . I am not sure Twitter is having that big of an impact .

              1. Numb
                • 11 Years
                9 years, 4 months ago

FPL Twitter always posts who has risen and fallen. This leads people to worry that their players might change adversely and so encourage them to do their transfers as early as possible.

Mark keeps saying that he thinks the algorithm has changed or "something has changed this year" - the algorithm hasn't changed IMO, it's the Twitter account.

Can't say im doing the transfers solely based on team value, but the rises might make me pull the trigger sooner.

      • 13 Years
      9 years, 4 months ago

Nahh. this season rewards those who are more proactive..

you cant hold to one player for too long hoping he regains his form back.

you have to jump on players the template keeps shifting every 3-4 gw's

    7. Sharpe Shuffle
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 4 months ago

For me, it influences the timing of transfers but not the players transferred. If you pick good players and sell poor performers, the TV takes care of itself
