With a break in our open to all Fantasy Premier League cup competition during the midweek fixtures, we spend some time this evening to see who has made it through to fifth round, which takes place during Gameweek 17 this coming weekend.

A reminder that, for this latest contest, there are more than £1,000 worth of prizes for UK based entrants courtesy of our partner FanDuel, as well as £350 in Amazon vouchers to the top three managers at the end of the competition.

In addition the highest scoring manager each round wins a £30 FanDuel credit, with community regular Moin earning this prize after his 65 point Gameweek 15 haul. He next faces msq22 in round five.

The next four highest scoring managers in round four win a £10 FanDuel credit. These will be handed out to Pinky Unites, who scored 63, DJDave1979, who scored 61 along with twobitgooner, and BC1, Bashvilla, Hagop, who all hit the 60 point mark.

The highest placed manager left in the competition is 216 ranked Bacuna Matata, who along with Pink Unites, won a £30 FanDuel voucher for the top highest score back in the third round.

The unfortunate manager to face this early frontrunner to win the competition is lowlifegimpe, who is ranked 337,555.

In a closely fought contest, our only remaining Fantasy Football Scout staff representative, TorresMagic, has made it through to round five, after squeezing past Zambhino10 by just a single point.

The moderator has another tough encounter in store when he takes on Smooth Rossi, who at 6,687 in the overall rankings is more than 7,000 places above him.

Other eye catching ties taking place in round five include Funkyav’s clash with Big Phil Soccer Team and Cobberlsnz taking on Bash Villa, who incidentally sent me packing back in the first round.

The fourth round results can be found via this link, while the full fifth round draw can be found here.

Good luck to those still involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

@Andy ... have you made your transfer(s) yet?

    Are you replacing injured players?

Give me one good reason why I should get Payet over Antonio ?

    Payet- 2 goals 7 assists (9.1m)

    Antonio- 7 goals 1 assist (6.7m)

Dont like paying premium price for a side 1 pt above relegation. In the case of Defoe and Siggy they are atleast at a decent price

Just might play deeper, where he hasn't scored many of his points.

With Carroll coming back it adds to Payet's set piece value too.

doesnt matter where he plays. he got 8 goals and 7 assists from fullback in 22 matches last season

he's like theo. very good fantasy assest

Not true that he got that as full back. He played various different positions last season.

Didn't play full back for most of last season. Almost all his goals and assists last season were when he played on the wing or as part of a front 3. Played at the back only towards the tail end when West Ham's form went off.

I agree he's a top asset when he's firing, had him this season myself. Just when he's moved around his output diminishes. Good at that price though.

this is different from lets say alexis theo situation.

antonio has 1 pt more than payet. while alexis has 25 more points than theo.

Playing position. Payet is nailed in an attacking midfield position. Antonio could play RWB again.

Payet is the big fish in the small pond. Always involved in the goals, independent on who is scoring them. Set pieces.

4 yellows for Antonio. Suspension is a possible risk.

Antonio was the only goalscorer earlier in the season, because of injuries. Now they have Carroll, Ayew, Lanzini etc, which means Payet won't only be aiming for Antonios head

Last week we cleared out Walcott for Sanchez. Now Firmino to Eriksen. Got to keep some faith - can't keep chasing last week's points.

Getting Sanchez in for Walcott is alright though, will pay off in the long run. As long as he is up front, Sanchez is essential IMO.

Wouldn't say Firmino to Eriksen is chasing last week's points. Over the last four gameweeks, Eriksen has got 32 points, Firmino has 9. Eriksen also has insane stats, Firmino does not. Would be an easy move if it wasn't for a hit. Still contemplating it though.

    Team for the GW:

    Heaton
    Alonso Evans Smith
    Sanchez Haz Firmino Siggy Allen
    Costa Kane
    0.1itb 0ft

    Pick Amat Anichebe Barragan

    Is my bench/order right??
Really want to ship Firmino, looking to get West Ham or spurs in. Should I:

    A. Firmino to Eriksen for -4 but not able to get a West Ham attcker next week
    B. Firmino to Son/Antonio for -4 and get Lallana week after.
    C. Save and maybe do Firmino to Payet next week for a hit a
    B.

GTG this week if you don't mind the price drop on Firm. Wouldn't take a hit to get rid myself.

Thoughts on any likely Liverpool rotation this week? A couple of players (particularly Mane) were looking tired Sunday. Struggling to see who'll come in though.

Without rotation I can see the goals starting to dry up over the next few games. Any pool fans to enlighten me?

Origi will get rotated I believe with Sturridge or can, allowing firmino to play up top and Lallana left wing. Don't think Mane will with afcon.

Mane is just way too important to not start atm. Especially with Coutinho injured. Huge emphasis on fitness by the twins Klopp and Kornmayer this season. Gotta be one of the fittest groups in the league.

Youre right about his importance, but Mane looked on his last legs towards the end Sunday. He was an injury risk earlier in the week so I'm wondering if he'll play 90 this GW. Woody might get on for someone I reckon. A real lack of options at the moment.

      Yes good move IMO.

Phil Jones worth a punt at that price too.

I think so. Jose really likes him, physical and hard worker and Jose has publicly praised him. With so many fixtures over Xmas then he could be rotated like any other player but in my opinion Bailly + Jones will be Jose's preferred CB pairing.

Getting rid of Lovren this GW, but have the following dilemma:

    A) Lovren to Vertoghen (4YC), and then do Cedric to Alonso next GW (that's why Vert is only Spurs def I can get)
    B) Lovren to Alonso this GW, bank a transfer next GW (and go without Spurs def for forseeable future) / use FT if Firmino blanks or other potential injury situations

Think I'm gonna save my transfer. Who to captain though:
    A. Kane
    B. Hazard
    C. Sanchez (seen Everton recently)
    D. Ihenacho (diff)

    Thanks!

So Klopp said Lovren went off with cramp the other day, but dont know anymore about it at the moment.

Sounds unlikely he will play on Wednesday?

If just cramp I'd expect him to start on Wednesday.

Cramp shouldn't stop him playing Wednesday.

The fact there has been no further news is a positive and suggests to me there is no injury.

Hamstring was involved as well so might be doubtful for Wednesday. If it helps Gomez was taken off at HT in the U23 game tonight which suggests he might be in the squad for Boro on Wednesday
