The December schedule now picks up pace as Tuesday evening treats Fantasy managers to the first two matches of Gameweek 16.

All eyes will be on Alexis Sanchez as Arsenal make their way to Goodison.

The Chilean has already delivered 10+ points hauls on four occasions away from the Emirates and faces a defence that’s managed a single clean sheet in 11.

Both Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil were in the goals at home to Stoke and Saturday and have the chance to stake a claim as a double-up option alongside their more explosive team-mate.

For the Toffees, Romelu Lukaku returned to form with a brace away to Watford last weekend and looks the man most likely to break down a Gunners rearguard that’s kept out their opponents in only one of the last eight Gameweeks.

Bournemouth entertain a resurgent Leicester in the other 7.45pm kick-off.

Fantasy interest in Jamie Vardy is on the rise after his stunning hat-trick at home to Man City ended a 10-Gameweek goalless drought.

If Claudio Ranieri’s men can take advantage of a Cherries defence that’s conceded three times in each of the last three Gameweeks, more investment could come their way ahead of some decent upcoming fixtures.

The home side will be buoyed by the numbers too, though.

Having conceded 18 times in seven road trips, Leicester’s defence has been anything but resilient – only Crystal Palace (19) have shipped more away goals.

Callum Wilson drops to the bench despite netting against Arsenal and Liverpool over the last three Gameweeks. Steve Cook, Nathan Ake and Charlie Daniels boast plenty of goal threat from the back, though – all three have netted twice already this season.

I think the BPS is a bit hit and miss. Williams was having an absolute shocker, he ended up scoring the wing yes but is that enough to get 3 points? Happens a lot, Mikhitaryan at weekend was the difference. Didn't even make top 3 United bonus points. Just a thought, but I feel they are based too much around stats, true players who make their team tick, miss out.

I couldn't disagree more. I think the scoring should be based even more on stats. I want points to be awarded to how players actually perform.

So you think Williams was worthy of an 11pt haul last night? Was fully responsible for the Arsenal goal, if we're looking at how players perform.

You're cherry picking single moments. The stats are a more accurate depiction throughout the course of the match

BPS are deducted for being at fault for a goal though. the rest of his performance was very good though. i get what you're saying, full backs who put loads of crosses in but never reach anyone with them get points for it which is wrong.

the bonus points debate will rumble on for years to come. the "man in the stand" we had until about 5 years ago was ok as you knew who the magnets were (Charlie Adam). the PPI method was shocking - basically if a striker missed 8 sitters a game but hit the target 8 times he'd sometimes get bonus for it which was ridiculous. simiarly someone could score the winner in a 2-1 game but come away with nothing as he'd had too many shots off target.

current system is by far the best - part of the skill element of the game is identifying which players are best to get in based on their ability to pick up bonus!

If he got the most BPS, which he did, then yes 🙂 . The BPS scoring is pretty good and stat driven. It's difficult to argue with Opta stats.

I think the actual BPS system works fairly well. There are still a couple of things that could be addressed.

      1) I think it's sometimes wrong when a poor team fight out a 0-0 draw away at a big team yet the defenders from the superior team get the bonus. Surely it should be the other way round?

      2) I've never liked the fact that it's limited to 3 players (usually) per match. Surely it would be a better set up if it just awarded bonus points for so many BPS points, regardless of how many players earn that in a certain match.

    Alonso - Walker* - Holebas
    Hazard - Sanchez - Siggy - Eriksen
    Kane - Origi - Iheanacho*

    McAuley £4.7m - Alonso £6.1m - Lovren £5.0m - Holebas £4.7m - Amat £4.0m

I wondered changing Lovren to Ake? This leaves more money into midfield and attack. Holebas has attacking potential (free kicks) and bit cheaper than Lovren. Liverpool is of course a better team, but also the time to let a lot of goals.

I don't have much else pressing right now so looking to shape my bench with some playing options in readiness for the rotation of the Christmas period…

    Current lot:

    Heaton
    Alonso Alderweireld McAuley
    Sanchez Hazard Mane Sigurdsson
    Kane Costa Anichebe

subs: Pickford Amat De Roon MWilson

    £0.6ITB. 1FT.

Was thinking of doing MWilson > Ake 1FT. yay or nay?.

Sure. Or save and deal with Anichebe with 2 FTs

I think better off saving the FT and then reviewing with 2 FTs to hand. No point wasting a FT for someone to ride the pine.

that bench is a shocker mate, would have gone for Jones or even Vertonghen ahead of Alder. do M Wilson to a playing defender to give your squad more depth ahead of Xmas

    Foster
    Jones Alonso Lovren Evans
    Sanchez Erikson Hazard
    Kane(C) Costa Iheanacho

    Pickford Allen Capoue Amat

    0.5 ITB

Need to deal with this Allen / Capoue situation..

    Who are best replacements ?

    Thank you,

      Iheanacho -> Anichebe

      Allen -> Lallana

7 from 1 last night, Sanchez obviously, and red arrow.

Hoping that turns green tonight, feeling Kane (c) may not have been a great idea, dunno why.
