Dugout Discussion – Crystal Palace vs Chelsea

Gameweek 17 begins with Chelsea attempting to maintain their 10-game winning streak at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace.

There’s plenty on show for Fantasy Football managers, with Eden Hazard a confirmed starter having missed the midweek victory at Sunderland.

Sold by more than 130,000 ahead of today’s deadline, they will be fidgeting uncomfortably throughout and hoping that Hazard continues to simmer in away matches. He’s scored just two goals in seven road trips so far, compared to six in eight at Stamford Bridge.

Diego Costa has had no such issues, home or away. He goes into today’s encounter off the back of just his third blank of the season on Wednesday – he is yet to go two Gameweeks without a goal or an assist this season.

For Palace, both Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke offer the major threat to a Chelsea defence that has conceded just two goals over their ten successive wins.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Zaha was causing Alonso a few problems that half, wouldn't be surprised to see a yc given next half to Alonso after all those fouls.

      I got costa at 10.6. Selling him means I can get in Sanchez. And if Costa drops 0.2 I can get him back for no loss by selling Kane, who'll probably hoover up some costa sellers and rise over the next week...

    Zaha is such a good player this year both going forward and defensively. I'd put him in the very top bracket now.

    Sold him this week due to the fixture but I'll get him back for Watford...shame about ACON

    I hate that I'm so stubborn. Not had Costa all season. Firstly as I thought he wasn't explosive enough, then because I thought he would get a yellow sooner and then because I throughly surely his form must dry up.

    I'm my own worst enemy at this game.

      To be honest he never really fit into my plans. When I sold Aguero I wanted Kane and lots of midfielders. I'll probably buy him at some point next year.

      I was thinking about losing Hazard as feel Costa is the more reliable option. However now I have to keep him for cover in the BOU game as no Costa - could be the most attacking player

    Is Azpi a better choice than Alonso? Seems a differential around these parts and hoovers up all 3 baps whenever it's a low scoring affair. Chelsea don't look like scoring much at the moment

    The reality however will be much messier im sure.
