We make out way to Goodison Park for the first of Sunday’s two matches as Everton entertain Manchester City.

With the Toffees on the cusp of an excellent run of fixtures from Gameweek 22 onwards, this afternoon’s encounter allows us the chance to scout the potential of the likes of Leighton Baines and Romelu Lukaku.

Second only to Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso for points per match amongst defenders, Baines has reclaimed penalty duties from Lukaku and has served up two goals, a pair of assists and a couple of clean sheets in his last seven outings.

Lukaku, meanwhile, has upped his output in recent matches, with four goals and an assist in six. A convincing display against City could see his 24% Fantasy Premier League ownership on the rise, particularly if Diego Costa and Olivier Giroud fail to recover from injury in time for next weekend.

Sergio Aguero rolls up to Merseyside having netted twice in four of his seven away appearances.

Yet it’s a sign of his erratic displays under Pep Guardiola that only 9% of FPL managers have handed the City striker the armband.

Nonetheless, that still makes Aguero the fourth most captained player for Gameweek 21 and, having scored in both matches since returning from suspension, his 22% owners will be optimistic he can maintain that momentum.

Ronaldo Koeman’s men have been no pushovers in front of their own fans, though, conceding just seven times – only Spurs and Chelsea boast better defensive home records.

vid.me/vsXw proof of Lukaku's touch. Keep playing it over and over and you see the ball 100% changes direction.

As an Eriksen, Rose, Lukaku owner without Alonso, I feel quite hard done by

In a bit of a pickle, I want to do Kun out for Kane, I fancy Spurs vs City's horrible defence but if I do that I'll have the same strike force as my mini-league rival (Kane, Ibra, Defoe), hence why I want to do Defoe to Lukaku too after Defoe rises, what are people's thoughts on these moves? Would give me a strike force of Kane, Ibra Lukaku or am I unnecessarily looking for differentials where there are none.

      Full current team is:
      Heaton Grant
      Rose Baines Alonso Brunt Chambers
      San(c)hez Alli Phillips Stanislas Fraser
      Ibrahimovic Aguero Defoe

      His is:
      Courtois Pickford
      Walker Gibson Monreal Cedric Brunt
      Siggy Snoddy Fraser Phillips Lallana
      Ibra Kane Defoe

Also have another rival whose team is:
      Grant Foster
Alonso Gibson Van Dijk Amat Prodl
      Sanchez Hazard Alli Stanislas Fletcher
      Costa Negredo Ibra

      Sorry for the essay.

Don't worry too much about your rival's team. Captain choice is the real differential and there's still plenty of weeks to catch up. Don't avoid good options for the sake of differentials.

Emre Can has more shots per game than Giroud.

Him or Mkhi for sure. That Liverpool team is horrendous.

          They'd still beat us though

Is there a cheap way into Everton's defence (Funes Mori or Holgate)?

Right, wildcard active - I'm over 200 points behind in my ML so need a miracle. Thoughts on this 5-2-3 / 4-3-3 squad?

        Foster
        Alonso, Baines, Brunt
        Sanchez, Pedro, Philips, Stanislas
        Kane, Giroud, Lukaku

        Jaku, Rose, Valencia, Hojberg
        Bank 0.6m

Looks decent - would bear in mind that Rose is two yellows away from a ban - would go for walker imo

Why Holberg when you could have Davies for the same price?

Brunt > Daniels. Downgrade to Brunt if fit. If you can afford.
          Hojberg > Davies

Seriously considering Kun > Kane for a hit and use the extra cash for my team next GW.

Should I go or just hold?

Maybe hold until after the next game when they play each other. I have the same dilemma

Not for a hit. You need kane to score more than 6 and kun to stay quiet.
