Gameweek 22 gets underway this Saturday lunchtime as Liverpool welcome basement-dwellers Swansea City to Anfield at 12.30pm.

Subject to more transfers in than any midfielder in FPL last week, Philippe Coutinho is handed a first league start since Gameweek 13.

The Brazilian has three double-figure hauls in his last five home starts and faces up to a defence that’s conceded at least three goals in seven of the previous nine Gameweeks.

Adam Lallana, with a goal or assist in six of his seven home starts, is another one to watch, though Coutinho’s return could also spark Roberto Firmino back into life. The latter bagged a goal and assist against the Swans earlier in the season and is set to return to the “false 9” role against Paul Clement’s strugglers.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Is the pretence over now that Liverpool can win the league? Spurs are the only ones who look like they could catch Chelsea.

Pool play all of Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs in the coming weeks. If they get a few results there, it's wide open.

With that defence Liverpool never had a hope in hell of winning the PL anyway. Shades of Brendan "we will score more than you" Rogers.

As stupid as it sounds, I think it's important to keep pace with Spurs and forget about Chelsea. They are playing with so much momentum, they will drag Chelsea back.

High tempo start to the season catching up with them. They were good when only having 1 game a week... Fixture congestion is killing them now though & it isn't going to get better any time soon with league cup/fa cup & difficult league games v top 6.

If they were all on level points now, Spurs would be my favourites. Chelsea just have such a large cushion it would take an long unbeaten run to catch them now.

Liverpool conceded five goals to Sunderland & Swansea over last few games. That's why they'l'll never win league with current squad.

I think it's more than the current squad.

They've brought in loads of defenders, new goalies, new management and backroom staff and are still as calamitous as ever.

Tactics employed by both Rodgers and Klopp can leave the defence quite exposed at times, I wonder if there needs to be a re-evaluation. A really top drawer DM could do a great job for them imo.

Just got in & checked the score .......bloody hell!

Although as someone who was pondering about getting coutinho for a hit in glad I didn't!
It was the fact that he played 60 minutes midweek that put me off as my gut was he either he won't start or get reduced minutes.

      How did Coutinho look?

Bringing him in for Siggy for a hit didn't exactly work out (had to do it early if I wanted him due to price rises).

People always underestimate Spurs' ability to bottle it.

They could be 20 points clear and they wouldn't win the league.
