Overthinking? It’s what we do – don’t dare ask us to stop.

Particularly now that our heads are swimming with thoughts of blank and double Gameweeks. All those variables, all that planning and strategising: we’re in our element.

Once again, thanks to another bout of community questions, Jonty and Andy join me for another ScoutCast dominated by chatter surrounding our tactics and transfers approaching the missing fixtures.

We break off to nominate the new Premier League whipping boys, while we ponder whether to proclaim Sigurdsson as “essential”, revisit Coleman vs Baines and assess whether the blanks are reason enough to be rid of Alexis Sanchez.

For my money, that’s one decision that requires very little thinking.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

That midfield is a problem with Barry and Carrick. Ibra to Costa and upgrade Barry I think

I respect your discipline! Out of interest, are you giving Lukaku the armband? Bournemouth at home has the potential to be a rout.

My only doubt is Everton playing Wed night then Sat this weekend, where as Bournemouth get an extra day's rest.

Thinking about it, but currently favoring Ibra for the armband. Could change my mind though. Seems like the kind of fixture Lukaku will suddenly explode in, being the flat track bully he is. What do you think? Who you going with?

You don't want to know lol... Aguero, for old time's sake, and because I think he starts this one plus Citeh starting to click. Yaya, De Bruyne and Silva providing the ammo is frightening.

You know Lukaku, if he's up for it, he's a flat track bully. I captained him away to Sunderland earlier in the season for his hat trick. Everton seem to be missing Deulofeu from an attacking perspective, with Koeman focusing on defence. Still, you'd expect Everton to score a couple.

Really don't know what to do with Lallana. I already have Cou and might play both against Hull but Liverpool looks sluggish and i don't want to suffer another drop in price.

I'd like Sigurdsson, who's going up in price now, but he has two awful fixtures in the next three while Antonio faces Southampton without a defense this weekend.

    Immensely confused.

Antonio short term, Siggy long term. However, City still aren't strong at the back.....

True and Siggy has scored against most of the big teams this season but City might be on the verge of improvement defensively.

What suggests so? The odd clean sheet? Nah, I don't think so, especially as he doesn't pick a consistent backline so there's a lack of chemistry and understanding at the back. Also, they're defensive players have been mediocre at best.

Not really into rotating keepers mate. I just think you can't predict these things every week and I often go with the wrng choice. Good example is this week. I "knew" Hull would concede and I "knew" City would too. Both kept CS. In the end, it's just a waste of cash I could use on outfield players. Pickford is my other keeper.

If I bought Brunt this week (for Holebas), the only realistic player I could bench is Carroll, Philips, Alonso or McAuley.

    Still worth it anyway?

      Yes. I'd bench Carroll.

      Rather Brunt over McAuley.

If there is any time in the season to get Brunt in, this is it.
They have 3/4 home fixtures up next, against weaker opponents.
      Bench Carroll

Holebas has Burnley at home. Just play him.

Double WBA defence will end in tears, like it has for everyone who's had it most of the year. Brunt over McAuley.

Any chance PVA could pay back a hit this week?

Alternative is playing one of Holgate/Daniels.
