We make our way to the Etihad in the first of two Sunday fixtures now as Manchester City entertain a resurgent Swansea City in the 1.30pm kick-off.

All eyes are on new boy Gabriel Jesus, who is handed his first home start by Pep Guardiola after bagging a goal and assist in the midweek demolition of West Ham United.

The Brazilian was the most transferred in player for Gameweek 24, with 192,298 Fantasy Premier League managers scrambling for his services.

Sergio Aguero is benched yet again, with his 19% FPL owners now desperately seeking alternatives. Pep also keeps faith in Willy Caballero after City grabbed a first clean sheet in five on Wednesday.

The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, with goals in back-to-back Gameweeks, Raheem Sterling (a goal or assist in six of the last eight) and Leroy Sane (three goals and an assist in four appearances in all competitions) are also in fine form, yet City’s blank Gameweek 26 and potential blank Gameweek 28 has curbed our short-term enthusiasm.

Swansea, meanwhile, roll up on the back of three wins in four, with Gylfi Sigurdsson returning to form with two goals and a pair of assists over that period.

At present, Paul Clement’s men are one of just six sides that will definitely play in both Gameweek 26 and 28.

While Siggy is the obvious pick, Fernando Llorente (seven goals in 11 Gameweeks) and the budget defender Alfie Mawson, with two goals in four, are also on our radars as we look to navigate the upcoming blanks.

If you could pick front 7 to play in 3 4 3 for rest of season irrespective what would it be?

    I would say

    Hazard Alli Sanchez Siggy
    Jesus Costa Kane

Jesus is a bit of a luxury transfer at this point. Lovely if your squad allows it but with blanks ahead and poosibly other issues in your team it's way too hard to justify.

Really don't see the blanks as an issue. Every decent player will blank.

Ibra also blanks but frees up 2.5m to spend on getting Siggy in...

They're an issue if you're wasting transfers! People will need to take hits to end up with 6 or 7 players

Lukaku is the obvious one to get, but the more people who go for Jesus the better.

I guess it depends on who you already have. I'd prioritise Lukaku over Jesus for sure, but many already have him.

I have Brunt, Phillips, Antonio, Coleman, Holgate and Lukaku as GW 28ers. Only want Siggy on top of that. The rest is a waste really, and I'm sure there will be one Cup shock anyway.

Have Kane, Costa and Ibra. So does my ML rival. Almost identical points. Am thinking of Kane to Jesus for next week (will address the blanks later). jesus looked fantastic today, he has more energy than Kane, and seems to be justifying keeping Kun on the bench. I hate this game....

I had alli and eriksen on wildcard and stuck with eriksen purely for price. Don't see much between the two over the remainder of the season and don't think I could trust the armband on either so that would have had an influence.

Watching the game the other night, was really impressed with Alli, probably the busier of the two, but factor in set peices for eriksen, he edged it for me

The only thing I see going with Alli is his postion. Playing behind striker is probably very good for him. But for remainder of the season I also see them scoring similarly. At this point I should maybe keep Alli...

I don't have a link but I was in the same boat last season! Tried last minute switches but that never improved it!

Maybe stick the armband on the least favourable player in the 11, hopefully the magic will wear off on them and bring in a haul!

What a horrible end to the game. Jesus gets a second goal, and Sigurdsson gets a yellow card. Was before the goal edging 2 bonus points.

Also City gets the 3 points...

The only positive is that a lot of people will bring in Jesus when they are most likely having to blank GWs coming up.

That FPL gave it to him or that he actually got a yellow?

Watched the game and saw now card for Siggy. No yellowcard on live commentaries sites too.

Watched the game myself and I didn't see the card, but I heard the commentators say he got if or dissent

Hats off if you are a Jesus owner, I do respect it, however....

As soon as Jesus doesn't score in a game I feel he will either get benched for Kun OR he may get less than 60 minutes.

On another note, he will very likely have 2 blanks.

If I am transfering a striker in it will be Lukaku / Costa not Jesus

Likely will have two blanks, but no, I really can't see him getting benched just because he'll blank in a game. Pep is creating a young trio up front

What pep does in the champions league tie will give us a better indication. Part of me wonders if he is being saved for that, (nothing to base this on, just thinking out of the box)
