Lincoln City’s shock FA Cup win over Burnley has handed Fantasy managers an extra match to plan for ahead of Gameweek 28, with the Clarets’ visit to Liverpool now guaranteed.

One of only eight sides set to offer us a fixture in each of the next three Gameweeks, Jurgen Klopp’s men also face a favourable trip to Leicester City next Monday evening.

With the Alexis Sanchez exodus in full flow after Arsenal clinched a spot in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Monday night, thus depriving the Gunners of matches in Gameweek 26 and 28, we put the Merseysiders midfield options under the microscope.

First up, we’ll look at how Klopp’s attack is performing when compared with both the rest of the top-flight and their own season averages.

We then monitor the displays of their midfielders over each players’ respective last six matches, looking for signs of form at a time when many are turning to Sadio Mane on the back of his two-goal haul against Spurs last time out.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Which one worth a hit?
    A. Sanchez to Mane
    B. Mirallas to Snodgrass

If this week A as Sanchez no game and Mane a great fixture given recent form. With Chelsea playing West Ham in 27 would look to possibly bringing in Snodgrass in 28 as West Ham fixtures pretty good after that

Latest odds for the new Rovers boss on SkyBet...

    Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink 7/2
    Kenny Jackett 5/1
    Steve Cotterill 5/1
    Dougie Freedman 11/2
    Nigel Adkins 6/1
    Tim Sherwood 7/1
    Billy Davies 10/1
    Alex McLeish 10/1
    Gary Rowett 10/1
    Nigel Pearson 12/1
    Mark Warburton 16/1

    So depressing 🙁

Take Rowett. He did wonders with an average squad and minimal money - didn't deserve to be ousted by us.

Anyone else keeping Sanchez and ibra over the two blank gws?? Iv full squad this gw and benching both. Havnt really thought about selling up to this point. Iv 2fts also and need to use one and was considering Alli to mane for the Leicester game and beyond .
    Thoughts please??

I think most have a full squad this week. Its whether another player will do better than keeping. I'm fairly certain Mane will outscore Sanchez over the next three gameweeks. Costa vs Ibra, for example, I'm less sure about as ibra would be captain gw27.

Sanchez to mane seems logical choice I suppose seeing as it's blank -pool -blank for Sanchez. Need discipline to keep mitb to buy.him back but then again I might wanna hold on to mane if he plays well.

I was very close to keeping until finding out Liverpool will be playing games and not blanking. May well get sanchez out for a pool mid and back again in a few gw's if I can save some free transfers 🙂

Keeping both. This is the reason you have a good bench.

Mane will outscore Sanchez this week, but the real comparison is between Mane and your bench replacement - which for me, is Maguire.

    Anything worth a hit?

    Jaku
    Baines Brunt Chambers
    Mane Alli Siggy Phillips Zaha*
    Lukaku Costa

    (Grant Holgate Valencia Jesus*)
    0 FTs, 3.3 in bank

    a) Jesus > Kane

    d) something else

Sanchez safe from falling tonight I see.

That delays Sanchez - > Mane for another day.

    Mane- lei, ARS, BUR

Was going to hold both Ibra and Sanchez but team is looking very weak if so

    Grant
    Alonso Baines Holebas Cedric*
    Eriksen Siggy Phillips DeRoon
    Lukaku Rondon

    (Pickford* Ibra* Amat* Sanchez*)

Are Firmino or Coutinho good alternatives to Mané?

Ask Captain hindsight later. Firmino could be a good diff, Coutinho has shown nothing since returning from injury

Problem always with those 3 is whoever you get Murphys law says one of the others will score. Not Coutinho of those 3 for me. He blanks more weeks than he returns

I will probably be going coutinho purely for the extra 1.1 so I can keep him and buy sanchez back with another transfer.

chances are there will be points for all of them. and I enjoy a bit of a gamble going against popular choices 😉

Is it worth doing Sanchez > Mane GW26, which means playing Allen (MID) GW27 or doing Sanchez > Firminio and bringing in and playing Siggy (BUR)

    Thanks

        Thanks.

I obviously haven't explained myself very well. I will play Mane if I bring him in but wouldn't be able to afford Siggy until GW28 so would have to play Allen.

If I bring in Firminio I can afford Siggy GW27.

Is Mane so much better than Firminio to be worth waiting a week for Siggy?

Sunderland might want to get out of the relegation zone, and they have the possibilty of doing against an off and on Everton.

What does potentially winning the league have to do with the ability to score points on any given gameweek as captain of your FPL team?

Spurs have that winning mentality and they can score 4 5 goals past teams like Stoke, and if spurs score, there is a high possibilty it's going to be kane.

You don't have to be convinced, for me Kane is the better option and Spurs are capable of scoring more than Everton in any given game.

      Gw28: Ibra > Barnes
      Gw29: Phillips > Sanchez (3-5-2)

Could be a smart little move by the time 28 rolls around. Because in gw29, it's gonna be sore looking at your team with no Sanchez and Phillips in there.

Will be a big problem for me, even if I go stingey in 28 with Alli and Pieters replacements, I still wouldn't have enough for that Phillips to Sanchez straight swap. Might just keep Pieters and lose Ibra and Alli. Then get Ibra in for Lukaku in gw30.

As it stands Mane, Alli, Siggy, Antonio (Phillips). Alli will defo become either Firmino or Coutinho in 28. That mid has great fixtures for a long time, that's why I'd be reluctant to sell any to get Sanchez straight back, especially for a hit.
