A minor disclaimer: this episode of the ScoutCast we recorded prior to the earth-shattering revelation that Manchester City could enjoy two fixtures in Gameweek 27. This therefore renders the full 70 minutes as totally irrelevant, with the content and advice offered within both useless and ill-informed. However, as this hasn’t stopped folk listening in the past, we’re putting it out there anyway.

Before the intervention of the fixture computer, I was joined by Jonty, Andy and Az as, oblivious to what was to come, we stepped blindly into the breach to wrestle another round of community questions.

That ensured that the impending blanks dominated the discussion, gifting Jonty the opportunity to flaunt his enviable Gameweek 28 line-up, while discussing the merits of Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham. Somewhat inevitably, pastry based goods also make an appearance.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or take in the full visual experience, pastry and all, via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Thoughts on my GW26-28 plans (if Man City have a DGW)?

    GW26: Sanchez ---> Mane
    GW27: Kane ---> Aguero
    GW28: Aguero + Pieters ---> Striker with a game + Mawson (-4)
-Gives me 11 players this GW

    - Other potential moves would be Ibra ---> Costa and/or Sterling in, but it would cost hits and would mean I don't have 11 for GW28

If you already have Lukaku then I would hold Aguero in 28 and just do the Pieters to Mawson move.

So Leicester no longer a walk over then?

Or the proverbial, can't polish a turd type stuff?

How did they look vs Seville? I think we know the players can step up a few gears if required?

Any idea who favourites are to replace him?

Not so much for their assets (think Morgan would be the only one worth a look - 4.7m with decent fixtures, although much better options available) but in terms of continuing to be the whipping boys?

I don't think they will rise all of a sudden. It wasn't Ranieri's fault. The team is not good enough. They were lucky to end up 2-1 against Seville.
I expect another foreign manager to replace Ranieri.

Agreed, but the suggestion is that the players can (and now will) up their game considerably, because Tinkers been sacked.

Yeah agreed, they're not great and last year was a fluke, but reckon we'll see a decent bounce from them.

Probably now been offered a million quid each if they stay up, and it was all a ruse by the players to cash in again.

It's an aging team. They will up their game no doubt. I think the Liverpool game would give us a much better idea about their progress.

That team has been poor... On individual level as well as a team, cant really blame manager for that.

New manager benching those so called star players might be a good start for them 😮

Milner is a decent option, I reckon Holmes. Especially if it allows you to get Aguero next week, if needs be.

Any idea who new manager might be?

No clue, I'm not good at predicting managers... Plus no idea who dont have a job at the moment 😛 Maybe Pardew?

          Looking at odds can help.

Milner is one of the option I'm considering, then there is Lanzini or any other WHM mid. Just not sure if getting rid of Spurs' duo is a good idea or not. Would you grab Milner/Lallana this week(on WC) or do that move next week for -4pts? Next week gives more time to assess Alli and Eriksen.

If it (the hit) won't affect a H2H game and you can wait, I'd wait until next week.

Gives you a better idea on LIV mids or WHM mids.

No H2H issues, going for OR... Have been few weeks since I took the hit, probably better to wait and take a hit next week... Will have Mane from Liverpool anyway, Cheers!

Yeah in which case you're sorted.

City still need to beat Uddesrfield remember. If they don't then I may not get Aguero myself (probably will cause will still have a GW in 28, but not so desperate with Ibra as a decent captain option).

This, but that's all they might attract.....bearing in mind there's a good chance they could be a Championship side next seasons.

Mancini would be a huge coup. Who does he currently manage?

They would offer him a huge salary and enormous bonus if they stay up.

Ah right, in which case I reckon he's a shoe in and will do well.

They just need to offer him the right cash, which considering he's out of work, I'm sure they will find agreement.

So do I, but maybe the defence will keep shipping goals.

will probably be not too good or not too bad vs Liverpool.... Means can expect a Little improvent maybe whoever is incharge of that game as they have been playing awful...

I reckon they'll start to play closer to last year now. Well apart from Kante protecting the back four.

But then you have to get rid of two City players.

Tough to say. I would do that move and bring atleast 1 city player.

"Unwavering support" to title winning manager.

16 days later, he is sacked

    Absolute joke

Looking for a long term replacement for Cech (-4) this week for < 4.9m. Whatcha reckon? Other GK is Pickford:

    A) Jaku - cheap and no blanks
    B) Foster - top in the RMT tool
    C) Fabianski - good fixtures and second in the RMT tool
    D) Grant - no GW28 so would mainly be for the DGW (so not a big fan)

All except Grant rotate well with Pickford up to the later DGWs

B has tough fixtures coming soon
C Swansea wont keep CS in long term
      D good for next week

Jaku. Baggies fixtures go south from GW29 on. Swans don't do cleansheets and Grant misses GW28 as you say.

Think I'm between Foster & Jaku. I know what you mean about he Baggies fixtures, but Pickford covers most of Foster's tough ones. Rotation would be:

BOU, CPL, eve, BUR, wat, wat, SOT, WHU

Looks nice. Not sure about Sunderland's ability to keep cleansheets and the extra 0.6 you save by going Jaku might come in very useful.

    Grant
    Alonso, Coleman, Brunt, Holebas
    Alli, Firmino, Coutinho, Phillips, Stanislas

why is baines such a better pick than mori , he is not getting up the park nearly as much as coleman, theyre back to a flat back 4, he is not on set pieces at all and even with the occasional pen, mori has significant goal threat from set pieces and is 1.1 cheaper.
