Gameweek 26 rolls on with an “unfashionable” evening encounter that pairs Watford with West Ham at Vicarage Road.

From a Fantasy perspective, this serves as a scouting mission of the Hammers assets ahead of potential investment for the Gameweek 28 blanks.

Slaven Bilic’s side are just one of eight teams that are currently guaranteed to play over that weekend and, as such, are elevated in our thinking ahead of this encounter.

Andy Carroll is again an absentee as he continues to struggle with a groin complaint, leaving Michail Antonio to lead the attack for the visitors. He’ll be under the microscope, along with Robert Snodgrass who tucks into the number 10 role against the Hornets.

For the home side, Fantasy interest is limited given their forthcoming blank, although promising fixtures to follow has us monitoring the continued form of Troy Deeney and M’Baye Niang.

    How about we go back to the rules a few seasons back where the last player to put the ball into the box, regardless of deflections etc gets the assist? More points, less controversy, no arbitrary rules. Everyone's happy.

      That rule was good because it was clear, but imo it was bad because it gave assist points for something that was rather far from an assist.

      Imo they should give assists for actual assists, and not for random crosses, or winning penalties / free kicks for that matter.

          Part of the issue is the delay in awarding them. It shouldn't be rocket science. Look at a couple of replays and decide, quickly Opta/FPL Towers/Whomever!

            That's part of the issue in the sense that it makes people angry, but I'd rather have the right decision after two hours than the wrong decision after ten minutes.

                It's not a question of time taken - the review period is always an hour after the final whistle of the final game. All goals with no current assists are then collected and reviewed in that time. That's standard, even if the incident took place in the 12.30 kick-off. Once the review is complete, bonus points are then added.

      Yeah players like him are by far the most frustrating.
