A trio of Josh Kings saved the Gameweek for the ScoutCast regulars, steering Jonty, Andy and myself to respectability, despite a scattering of ill-fated transfer hits. Meanwhile, AZ drops in with his own unique solution to the curtailed Gameweek 28, as he deals a controversial early Wildcard to help prepare for the choppy waters.

The Wildcard is a key focus of this week’s episode, as we extend our recent Hot Topic to the ScoutCast airwaves, arguing the optimum time to activate the most precious of chips.

Elsewhere, we spare a moment to weigh up the “essential” status of the aforementioned Cherries midfielder, consider the recent unrest surrounding Sanchez and Lukaku and discuss the fall-out from Kane’s twanged ankle.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

From dominating my mini league, to barely holding on now. Want to wait until next week to do a wildcard.

    How can I improve this?

    Eriksen / Barkley / Sanchez / Allen / Stanislas
    Lukaku / Costa / Niang

I have too many players with a decent fixture. Maybe a luxury problem but also a benching dilemma. And I maybe want to get Sanchez. West Brom might get hammered this weekend.
Maybe Aguero+Lanzini --> Costa+Sanchez for a hit? But then I would need to bench Antonio (LEI) probably.
Or just be patient and save the FT for the international break and more info about the DGWs?
    Some advice would be welcome.

    Heaton (sun)
Alonso (stk), Coleman (HUL), Walker (SOU)
Mané (mci), Siggy (bou), Antonio (LEI), King (SWA)
Lukaku (c) (HUL), Aguero (LIV), Llorente (bou)

Bench: Lanzini (LEI), Mawson (bou), Evans (ARS)
    1 FT
    3.1 ITB

    Alli - King - Mane - Sigurdsson

    Mannone, Brunt, T.Carroll, Robertson

    0 FT, 4.1 INB

Any suggestions or am I good?

I would personally love to get rid of Mannone for Pickford, but I'm not sure if it's worth a hit... Having already used my wildcard earlier, I don't know when I would get a better chance to fix my 2nd GK :/

      From DesertBug (Everton Fan);

"Combo, maybe. He was pretty bad in the prior match, but I think that he is still the way forward. RK will bench people when he doesn't think he's getting what he should out of them. He sat Barkley for a while earlier this season. Seems his current style.

I think also, that he saw a West Brom team that wasn't overly speedy, and felt that he could get away with starting the slower Jags and practically immobile Barry, giving them some game time at an optimal time. Hull this weekend, while lower in the table, is a far pacier side, with Clucas and Grosicki, and would be a disaster to put Jags and Barry in against them. He doesn't always get lineup right, though. If he starts Jags and Barry this weekend, I'll be screaming."

A prevents the Ali differential for this week.

It allows you to see how spurs line up without Kane and see if sanchez is back on the wing/if Theo is a regular starter.

De Roon is surely a non starter now? Carrol (SWA) is a much better option for me.

What a dilemma! I'm playing Barnes, but which keeper do I play?

      A) Pickford, and spread the risk
      B) Go all in with Burnley and play Heaton

Really tempted by B, as Burnley have played much better away from home (and have scored in all their recent away games).

The Palace game apart, Sunderland have been SHOCKING defensively.

Home advantage, Burnley not great Away. I'm looking at as separate decision to owning Barnes. That's irrelevant as to which keeper is most likely to score more.

Well yeah, that's the plan. Either this week for -4 or next week but 0.2m poorer. So a pure problem of TV vs points...

Who would you have playing then if you just left Kane on the bench then? I'd probably do it as Kane is out...

Holgate / de Roon, so 2p most likely.

You'd take the hit? I'm currently on -4 (Brunt, Firmino -> Valencia, Alli) as I prioritize these transfers higher. But I don't mind taking additional -4 if it's justified.

      Jaku | Valdes

      Maguire | Coleman | Alonso | Brunt | Lovren

      Sigurdson | Eriksen | Mané | Coutinho | Stanislas

      Carroll | Anichebe | Lukaku

      1ft and 6.3itb

I'm lost on what to do - any tips?

        I can do Stanislas/Carroll --> Costa/Son for a -4

Stan to King and play 3-5-2 this week with no hits

Would you just hold onto Aguero for 2 more games until Ibra is back and then just make the switch to Ibra now that Kane is gone? Or would it be better to buy Costa now and get Ibra with WC (which I have no idea when I'll play)...?
