Harry Kane is sidelined for Tottenham’s home clash against Southampton. Paul Pogba is set to miss Manchester United’s trip to Middlesbrough. Leighton Baines should be fit for Everton’s home counter with Hull City, while Fernando Llorente is available for Swansea City’s trip to Bournemouth.

Bournemouth will have Andrew Surman available to face Swansea City following the midfielder’s one-match ban, but Tyrone Mings is still suspended. Harry Arter is a doubt due to a slight calf problem, while a late call will be made on Junior Stanislas, who’s making progress following a groin injury. Lys Mousset is expected to available, despite suffering a hamstring complaint for the U23’s in midweek.

Swansea City head coach Paul Clement revealed that Fernando Llorente is “okay,” with the striker returning to training yesterday, along with Kyle Naughton, who has recovered from a hamstring injury. Martin Olsson is not expected to be fit to face the Cherries due to an ankle injury, though, with Stephen Kingsley set to deputise at left-back.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman revealed that Leighton Baines would “normally” be fit for tomorrow’s home clash against Hull City after returning to training yesterday following a back problem. James McCarthy is out with a hamstring injury, though.

As for the Tigers, Markus Henriksen has returned to training ahead of the trip to Goodison Park. But following a long spell on the sidelines with a shoulder problem, this weekend may come slightly too soon for the Norwegian. Evandro (calf) remains out, though, while forward Oumar Niasse is ineligible to face his parent club.

James Morrison suffered an ankle injury this week, and is a doubt ahead of West Bromwich Albion’s home fixture against Arsenal. Matt Phillips looks set to miss out with a hamstring injury once again.

Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are both doubts ahead of Arsenal’s trip to The Hawthorns. Arsene Wenger revealed Gibbs is “uncertain,” while Oxlade-Chamberlain was due to undergo a test yesterday after picking up a hamstring injury during the 5-0 win over Lincoln City in the FA Cup. Mohamed Elneny has returned from an ankle injury, though, and could come back into the squad.

Glen Johnson is out of Stoke City’s home clash against leaders Chelsea due to a shoulder injury, but Mame Biram Diouf is available after recovering from a knock. Xherdan Shaqiri has also been able to train with no issues this week, and is an option for manager Mark Hughes, while Marko Arnautovic has recovered from illness.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ander Herrera are both suspended for Manchester United’s trip to Middlesbrough, while Paul Pogba has been ruled out after picking up a hamstring injury during last night’s 1-0 win over FC Rostov in the Europa League. Daley Blind will need to be assessed ahead of the trip to the Riverside after suffering a knock to the head in the same match, while Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney are both injury doubts.

Patrick van Aanholt will miss Crystal Palace’s home match against Watford due to an ankle injury. Meanwhile, Etienne Capoue is a doubt for the Eagles’ opponents Watford, having missed a couple of days training this week due to illness, with the midfielder set to be assessed today. Daryl Janmaat and Nordin Amrabat are both fit to return, though, following groin and ankle injuries respectively.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche stated that midfielder Steven Defour is “touch and go” for the trip to Sunderland – the Belgian has recovered from a hamstring injury, but is lacking match fitness. Johann Berg Gudmundsson remains out with a knee injury.

Mark Noble has been ruled out for West Ham United’s home encounter against Leicester City, after aggravating a knock during last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth. Robert Snodgrass (ankle sprain) is expected to be fit for the Hammers.

Nampalys Mendy was able to take some part in Thursday’s training session for Leicester City ahead of their trip to the London Stadium, but the midfielder is only rated as “50/50” to be named in the Foxes squad. All the players who featured in Tuesday night’s 2-0 win over Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday night are said to be okay, though.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

When/ how are people planning on using BB chip if you still have it?

I have so far just ignored it after if failing on me last year (played it early on and it was the week Mahrez stayed on the bench). Thinking of using it this week as have no obvious mid/fwd to bench and lots of defensive doubts.

    Walker Baines Mawson Macauly Amat

    Any thoughts/theories appreciated!

Early days as not likely to use the WC for a few weeks, but any critiques on this early WC draft?

    Pick / Jaku
    Alonso / Coleman / Valencia / Vertonghen / Yoshida
    Sanchez / Eriksen / Siggy / Pedro / T Carroll
    Ibra / Kane / Gabby

£0.7m ITB - Obviously Kane is the big question mark, sadly £0.1m off Pedro + Kane > Alli + Costa or might pull the trigger.

Looks great in theory (not Vertonghen though). But impossible to say seeing as you're doing it in a few weeks.

Currently on WC and have Walker in my team.

Should I switch him for Coleman for one week considering his injury doubt or keep Walker with Mawson first sub?

      Benching headache:

      Do I bench:

      A) Carroll at home against Leicester - Been inconsistent of late but LEI are leaky.
      B) Firmino against City - Just recovered from injury

Struggling this week, I can't decide my transfer and saving isn't an option. 1 FT and 6.3m ITB.

      A. Llorente to Costa;
      B. Siggy to Sanchez;
      C. D. Fletcher to Alli?

C has the most upside but I don't want to be without Sanchez.

      Lloris
      Baines Azpi McAuley
      Alli Manè King Son (vc)
      Kun Kaku (C) Costa

      Jaku, Robertson, Carrick, Amat

Took a hit to bring in Son and Costa on behalf of Philips and Kane.

      0.0 ITB, 8,5K OR.

Does it look decent? Where do I go from here?

Some misconceptions being spread on here as usual.

        http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/firmino-back-liverpool-training-no-12745838

"Roberto Firmino has returned to training ahead of Liverpool's clash with Manchester City.

The Brazilian forward missed Sunday's win over Burnley after picking up a knock in the win against Arsenal the previous week.

But he was pictured at Melwood on Wednesday as Jurgen Klopp's squad were put through their paces. A smiling Firmino was snapped working with Reds fitness coach Andreas Kornmayer during the session."

Firmino has been training this week, just not in the team. This is not the same as he hasn't trained all week, please stop repeating false info.

People are repeating Klopp's quote. That is not false news. Your nuanced difference is important to note, yet not necessarily the final say about whether he is ready or not.

I'm not saying it is the final word nor am I saying it is false news.

People are misinterpreting what Klopp said. It is very obvious Firmino has trained, there is photographic evidence. He has not been involved with the squad, which is still an important point but it is vastly different from him having not trained at all this week.

I see what you are saying. It is all data. Have to factor it all into the decision to hold, sell, etc.

[Also, you did say: "stop repeating false info"...just want to throw that out there...]

I agree, it will no doubt be factored in for me (though I kind of wanted to ditch already)

My point isn't Klopp's quote being false info, by all means people should repeat that. The false info is when they decide it means he hasn't trained all week, which is wrong, and propagate that. Every week it seems to happen on here. Sanchez is out when he isn't, Ibra is out because of an Instagram post where he's apparently in Sweden, then plays.

It is when people misinterpret it and spread that.

We know Firmino is in individual training. We also know he hasn't trained with the rest of the team yet. This doesn't equal he hasn't trained all week, which is being propagated on here. So yes, if you want to quote Klopp with an incorrect interpretation, it is spreading misconceptions.

Here's my situation: I want to hold and to play Firmino. I also want Sanchez. My plan was to sell someone else for Sanchez, but now am concerned that I could actually sell the wrong person based on this less than 100% certain status of Firmino. Does that make sense?

I think that makes perfect sense.

My issue with Alexis has been whatever the hell is going on between him and Wenger, but if you believed him safe to start I think he's naturally a top class choice.

Firmino still has doubt, it's just less than was originally suggested. That makes the decision harder for you, very tough to resist Sanchez.

To be fair, your link/photos only refer to Firmino working with fitness coach. Klopp says (official site - injury updates) "Roberto Firmino didn’t train with the team so far, but should probably be involved today or tomorrow, so could be an option": http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/257007-lfc-injury-update-firmino-origi-lovren-sturridge-and-henderson

That's enough to justify valid differences of opinion.

Yeah, we already knew this - he's been pictured training earlier in the week. I took Klopp's update as a positive one, all but confirming that he'll play. No idea why people are talking about selling him on the back of it - seems like looking for an excuse to sell.

His comments taken in isolation make it appear he hasn't trained.

Apparently a lot don't know this.

I may well still ditch tomorrow morning, he was the one I've ear marked to lose but could hang on and save the FT. My issue is much more about Klopp's quote being misinterpreted which may push others who want to keep him into selling when they have no need.

I would not say an excuse to sell (I do not think we are accountable to anyone other than ourselves), but would say "a fear to hold." And that fear is based on a recent event.

I know. But I just don't want to go without a Spurs attacker this week.

            Which to start.

            a) Firmino (may not make whole/part of the game)
            b) Llorente

Anyone going mane c? Looked decent and should have scored V Burnley when he switched to striker

Big differential this week after blanking last time out. If you have Lukaku seems too risky not to captain him.

Did that last week, and did not pan out. That really should have nothing to do with the decision this week, but it would be difficult for me to select Mane as captain over Alexis or Lukaku.

This Firmino will he / won't he play, has he/hasn't he trained malarkey may be the most boring guesswork argument on here all season.

            What do u reckon?

            a.) start Sterling over Coutinho
            b.) start Gibson over Stones
            c.) both

Is this hit worth it -4?

            Courinho + Carroll to

            Alli + Costa

            Afternoon all!

With RFM not figuring in many prospective Everton lineups now, is it worth playing Brunt instead? Whilst RFM came on for Baines last week, normally he won't be brought on as a sub?

Swaying toward starting Bruntinho now, especially if he's positioned further forward.

Worth to take a hit to bring alli for Coutinho or Valencia for Brunt?
            A:Valencia
            B:Alli
            C:No hit
            Thanks

Alli I think might be worth a hit.

Valencia has two more games than Brunt between now and the end of the season so I think you can take a hit for that. Good chance you would
Be paid back this week considering the fixtures I can see Valencia out scoring Brunt by 4 and your team would be in better shape moving forwards
