A little later than usual, we look back on the previous round of fixtures after last night’s Manchester derby brought the curtain down on Double Gameweek 34.

As many of us prepare to unleash our second Wildcards, a number of big-hitters make a strong claim for our plans over the remaining four Gameweeks.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Different crowd so posting again.

    Would you rather have Benteke or Gabbiadini as a one GW punt this week? I own Townsend and Zaha already.

    Thanks 🙂

      Six, but might only play five since I like a few of my single game week defenders more than Yoshida in GW36, and I'm getting Yoshida mostly for the double in GW37 and because he's cheap.

    Is team value worth it? As you build or prepare to build your wildcard teams for the important late season doubles, do you feel you have enough money? What is your sale value and are you happy it is enough to allow you to build the team you want?

      In all my seasons playing FPL I've never really paid attention to team value.

    2. Bushman
      • 9 Years

      I think it is important. I'm top of my league with a TV of £107m. Means I can WC next week and afford Kun, Kane, Lukaku, Alli, Hazard and Alonso in the same team.

    3. BananaNose Maldonado
      • 11 Years

      It can certainly help, but I've never paid it much attention. To me, it feels like a lot of work/juggling only to have Sanchez instead of Ozil, or Aguero instead of Jesus, or Tadic instead of JWP (you get the point) for a few weeks at the end of the year.

          Yeah, that helps, and, admittedly, might skew my thinking. Maybe I've gotten lucky with my selections this year, but I've just always hated taken hits to gain a little bit of value here or there. Some on here have been able to gain value without taking hits - and kudos to them - but oftentimes chasing a high TV comes with negative points.

    GW35 is for punts.

    Here is my final team!

    De Gea
    Bailly Yoshida Alonso
    Tadi(C) Zaha Arnie Sanchez Alli
    Lukaku Vardy

    Cue 34 points with Bailly and De Gea my only source of points > 2.

            I was thinking this, too. And then I looked at their recent away form. They give up tons of chances and goals away from home. And if Soton gets one early, they'll have to come out and attack to get a point or three out of the match.

            I think going down a man forced them to play more defensively and less open against Watford. Oddly, it seemed they were helped--at least defensively--by losing a man.

    Along the Big Numbers theme, I've created a "Hot Shots" table showcasing the best attacking threats.

    http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/17261/

    Filters are:

    1 in 3 shots on target, or better
    1 in 6 shots result in a goal, or better (I could make this more strict but it would result in Benteke, Alli and Firmino being dropped from the table).
    Team creates a chance for them every 60 mins, or better
    3 starts minimum

        It depends which global filter you apply 🙂 If you choose last 4 gameweeks, then he's right up there. My only concern would be he's averaging only 1.5 chances per game, so 3 in 2. Even King is low in this respect.

            Oh, he's genuinely on there when looking at a short term view! It's a balance between removing proven assets like Alli and Firmino who take a lot of shots to score and including players you'd never seriously consider.

    Is it madness to go without Kane this week? Thinking A) makes the most sense here and then reassess for the DGWs, but the Kane FOMO is strong.....

    A) Ibra -> Gabbi & save FT
    B) Bavies/Stones & Ibra -> Yoshida & Kane
    C) Son & Ibra -> Tadic & Kane
    D) Ibra & Kaku -> Gabbi & Kane
    E) Son, Ibra & Kaku -> Haz, Kane & Gabbi (-4)

    Jaku
    Valencia, Brunt, Stones
    Sanchez, Eriksen, King, Zaha
    Ibra, Lukaku, Benteke

    Do you think Blind will hold on to his spot when likes of smalling and jones return ?

    Fatigue wont be a problem for him.

      I think Blind is fantastic for Bps but I think he will get rotated when they're back.

    Hold the WC till after GW 35 if I can, right? Only BB to use. I've almost finalised my team but want to have a look at Arsenal defense, City lineup and Saints situation.

        Not playing him this weak, but like the two doubles in a row!
        Who would you replace him with?
