Our post-Gameweek members article assessing some of the top performers arrives once again this evening.

With many Fantasy managers now looking to wield Wildcards, we cast an eye over in-form and in-demand attackers and also assess some of the stand-out assets in defence ahead of Friday evening’s deadline.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I have Kane and Jesus, but can only go with one of the midfielder below. Which one would you go for ?

    Alli (whm MUN lei)
    Sane (CPL LEI WBA)

    De Gea Randolph
    Alonso PVA Yoshida Maguire Holgate
    Sanchez Alli Tadic Zaha Clayton

No wildcard or BB left, just TC.

    A) Zaha + Lukaku âž¡ Hazard + Jesus

    B) Zaha, Lukaku + PVA âž¡ Hazard, Jesus + Huth -4

    C) Lukaku, Zaha, PVA + De Gea âž¡ Jesus, Hazard, Monreal/Vert + Caballero -8

    D) Lukaku, Zaha, Clayton + Benteke âž¡ Jesus, Hazard, Sané + Anichebe -8

Sanchez or Hazard in GW 37 if you don't have BB.

I need your help - which option do you think scores more?

    A) GW36 TC (Sanchez), GW37 BB.
The bench boost would be Pickford (SWA, ars), King (BUR), Brunt (CHE, mci), Stephens (MID, mun)

    B) GW36 TC (Hazard home vs. Boro), same BB as above.

    C) GW36 BB, GW 37 TC (Hazard wba, WAT)
The BB would be Pickford (hul), King (stk), Brunt (bur), Stephens (liv, ARS)

    1. GS456
      • 10 Years

In the exact same boat mate. I think bb in 37 I have holgate and albrighton instead of king and brunt.

And I think hazard triple captain could be good this week. But I am swayed because my mini lesgue rival doesn't have hazard

      1. Pierce34
        • 10 Years

Assuming that Hazard continues to be in great form, C might have the most upside. Basically I'm contemplating whether the points difference between Hazard TC 37 and Sanchez TC 36 is greater than the difference between BB 37 minus BB 36.

Chasing in ML by 25 points.

He's got WC + TC, while I've got WC + BB.

Which chip is worth more and Do I still have a chance?

I reckon that BB could be worth around 25 points if you really nail it (4x4 + 2 CS/att. returns).

Damn. Looking at BB 36 vs 37 it basically comes down to Caballero+Pick x 1 or 2 + Stephens JWP Gabbi. Not sure I prefer 36 if Sanchez TC

I mean, Pickford x 2 beats Pickford x 1, and Southampton have better GW37 fixtures - but would the GW 37 TC outscore Sanchez in 36 by more than the GW37 BB would outscore GW36 BB?

no. tc is like having 13ish players. bb is having 15

        1. Pierce34
          • 10 Years
          8 years, 7 months ago

Yes of course, but the extra 2 players TC gives you would be much better than the extra 4 of the bench boost.

e.g. Hazard x 2 vs. Pickford, Stephens, King, Brunt

one player really because presumably your TC choice will be (C) anyway so Haz +1 more vs Pickford, Stephens, King, Brunt

        1. Pierce34
          • 10 Years
          8 years, 7 months ago

Hmm, I got Costa last week but if I was wildcarding this week it would probably be Jesus.

As for the number crunching, it depends on a lot of things obviously - whether the BB defenders concede 2 goals or more per game, and whether we think the DGW TC gets, say, 3 goals and an assist as opposed to a solitary assist or something.

Thoughts? g2g? Question marks over Gabriel and Davies but have 1.0 so if Rose is back can swap davies for vertonghen. Don´t know about Gabriel though...

    Pickford, Willy

    Jesus, Kane, Gabb

    1. Sweetboi

Rose is back in training, so 37 looks unlikely, both games at least. Gabriel could play all, but could also be rotated with a change in formation or Mustafi back.

Will he get straight in though? Davies been playing well, hard injury, surely a cameo at most in 37?

I've taken a risk on Gabriel, he's price friendly enough to be a filler anyway, if he gets dropped then I doubt he's getting subbed on so will get Vertonghan off the bench in 36. Slightly annoying for GW37 BB tho.

      1. CloudSky

then so be it. Ultimately he's enabled Hazard to come in for me and I'm confident the attackers can cover the deficit 🙂

I'm risking both. It's only way I can get triple Arsenal & triple Spurs and still afford Sanchez, Alli, Hazard, Kane, Costa & Jesus. The other option is to get maybe Vert & Kos but sacrifice one or two of above big hitters in front 7 - that's a bigger risk IMO....

Just did bb comparison 36 37 and sure I may have been bit generous for 37 but came up with 12 vs 30 so that means 37 TC needs to outscore 36 TC by 18 or more

If you gave me 30 BB points I'd bite your arm off! Even if my Southampton defenders and Brunt play both games, I expect them to concede a lot in at least one of them. I'm just hoping for a lucky assist here or there, and ideally a clean sheet vs. Boro (unlikely if Boro are fighting like vs. City).

Haz could well outscore Sanchez by 18 if Sanchez scores 4 points next week!

A: Holgate, Huth (or anything at 4.9)
B: Yoshida, Smith (or anything other at 4.6)

    Already have Stephens.

Might be last piece of the puzzle. 🙂

    On WC,
    Thoughts:

    a. Son, King, Davies
    b. Alli, T. Carroll, Yoshida?

    Have Stephens
    Thanks in advance!

Guys, need some advice and I need to move quickly due to price changes. I am leading my ML by 4 points and the one chasing only has sanchez from the guys I plan to bring in.

currently my team is setup as follows:

    Pick - henn

    Mustafi - clichy - bailly - stephens - holgate

    Haz - erik - alli - coutinho* - zaha*

    Kun* - kane - benteke*

I am looking at moving out * for sanchez - jesus - sane - gabbi.

It would be a -8 hit.

I will fix the defense next gw.

Should I do it? Any other suggestions

Anyone else not convinced of having King in their draft WC team ? Probably will be in my bench for GW36 and then only play him vs Burnley for GW37 ?

Look at the form, look at the fixtures, look at the price.

      So..
      a) Holgate, Smith, Eriksen vs b) Verthongen, Gabriel, Sane
      I'd say B.

Thanks. Does it change your mind if A was GABRIEL, Smith, Eriksen?

Yeah, more even, maybe it edges it towards A)
Best would probably be Holgate, Monreal, Sane.
