Both Southampton and Arsenal play the first match of their Double Gameweek 36 today, with the former’s trip to Liverpool kick starting the proceedings at 1.30pm.

With six goals and an assist in eight appearances across all competitions since arriving in January, Manolo Gabbiadini boasts the Saints’ main threat in the final third.

Drafted in by more than 108,00 FPL managers for his side’s pair of fixtures, the Italian is also their most captained asset, with over 45,000 handing him the armband on the back of 4.7 points per appearance.

Defensive duo Jack Stephens and Maya Yoshida were also subject to significant wildcard investment but the 67,000+ who transferred in Nathan Redmond are ruing their decision as he drops to the bench.

For the Reds, Philippe Coutinho recovers from the dead leg that forced him off against Watford on Monday to be named in Jurgen Klopp’s first XI.

Having scored in four of five appearances prior to limping off early at Vicarage Road, the Brazilian is the most captained player for today’s early kick-off – over 75,000 have handed him the armband.

Roberto Firmino seeks a sixth double-figure home haul against a defence with two away clean sheets – at Sunderland and West Brom – in their last nine road trips.

They're running out of ideas, Liverpool. They don't have options on the bench even if they want to change it. Southampton - tight backline, forcing Liverpool wide - are doing exactly what Sam Allardyce did here with Palace.

Probably but his not a bad coach, he inspires them and knows how to get the most out of the fans and use that to spur on the team. But unless Liverpool make massive changes to their defence and sort out who is their nailed on striker then imo they can't compete for many titles . Maybe in two seasons time they can compete for the pl trophy? Even that I doubt

Well its not like he hasn't come off the back of winning things in Germany, so he deserves to be rated.

However I think even he is still coming to terms with the subtle differences between the leagues and how he will have to alter his approach. Liverpool have certainly been very good and very bad, in terms of a championship challenge, overall most fans would be happy with a Top 3 finish but along way to go to challenge for a title.

No chance if spurs couldn't catch Chelsea then not a snowball chance Liverpool would have. If u want to win a title u need a good defence first and fore most something Liverpool don't. Don't tell me u think a fully fit Liverpool xi is better than spurs...

I know Rashford is not a world beater, but compared him to Monreal is just tad over the top.

Because proving yourself in the PL is harder than proving yourself in the CL??

not at all. i think the PL is the hardest/best league in the world. i was just saying that mbappe is great but not proven it in the hardest league in the world.

champions league is notthe hardest league in the world its the premier league mate. CL is not really a season long league. that is what i am saying.

What i'm saying is the games in the CL are a lot harder. Teams give more of their all into each and every match, and it's full of the biggest clubs in the world

fair point mate. But i would say the PL is still the harder competition to win. we will just have to agree to disagree.

So Mbappe will be a scrub forever if he never plays in the Prem?

Rashford isn't even a guaranteed starter if Ibra doesn't get injured

Couple of full 90 minutes played and Mourinho bigging him up to help his confidence everyone goes nuts

It's refreshing to now see rival fans compare Rashford + Martial to ballers like Mbappe and not bums like Origi, Kelechi and Iwobi
