The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Evening all!

So a new season is upon us, here's how I'm lining up for GW1, any glaring mistakes?

    Foster
    Keane/Cedric/Dawson
    Pogba/Alli/Redmond/Zaha
    Lukaku (c)/Kane/Chicharito

    Hart/Daniels/Loftus-Cheek/Rangel

    Cheers in advance guys

TC and some less owned 4.0 over RLC + Rangel. Pogba is also meh.

What's the thinking behind Carroll? More chance of playing and a decent run of games soon? And Pogba is a bit of a punt, but I've got a bit of a gut feeling about him, especially with the arrival of Matic potentially freeing him up

He looked horrid against Madrid. TC is a lot more nailed than RLC, on some set pieces with Sigy gone too. A lot more upside than RLC basically who also has a higher ownership which means he might lose value if he doesnt play.

All very sound points. Will take the TC advice on board, especially when he's my 5th mid. And I'll give Pog a week or two... see how they look in the PL and go from there!

Work in progress. Can do something similar to you and go light in defence or balance it more.

Can't you change the Team News section so that the formations and players are in the right position? Schlupp is in LAW on mine and David Silva's name is overlapping.

            It's not just Schlupp..

And it's just my slight OCD, would be nice if the players were in the right positions. Like in this article it says grew instead of crew. Kind of gets to me 😉

                True.

I have massive respect for the guys who help run this site though. 2-3 articles a day? Endless information? Can't be beaten.

Personally, much rather have them spend the effort on the Written Paragraph for Lineup-PREDICTIONS!
Mainly cause the players/positions I'm reading for are rarely Nailed enough to even think about doing a Re-Edit to the 'Team-Formation IMG' ...lol
[and I am a Graphic Designer who has been Diagnosed with a mixture of OCD/ADD by multiple Govmt. & Prescribing Shrinks... even though I'm pretty sure the real problem is the meth...lol]

but I do feel ya mate...especially being a reds supporter who really misses Daniel Agger, and our defense during his era!
Didn't aim to come off rude or short... respect.
*if gonna spend any time on player name/formation image, might as well Overhaul the whole thing? maybe color code the name-text to illustrate the 'degree of nail' / 'chance of being nailed'? idk. #PughGotNail!
