The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

        Not really no, i'd be switching between the 4.5 mid and my fourth defender sometimes. I'm set up for a 443, but with mikhi and Ritchie i could 352 now and then with Carroll also playing.

      Alli's definitely still worth it imo. Carroll could seriously be a solid pick for first 11 this season, can't see too much difference between him and Ritchie. I'd go A

          I actually haven't had him in for a while, nah, I had to try cover all the big boys and KDB was more important but Alli's gonna be worrying me for sure. I also wanna risk Knockaert so Im not too keen on starting a 4.5

            cool, but knowing that i have kane and no lukaku, i would of thought having mikhi gives me united cover and kane covers spurs, if i go alli then i miss any united coverage.

    I am sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but i have not attended a premier league game in the flesh for a few years.

    I am moving to England next week to do a job and plan to take in a few games during my time over there and i was wondering how hard it is to get away day Manchester United tickets in the London area?

    I am not a member of any supporters club or anything like that so do i have a chance or should i just sneak in with the home fans and try to keep a cap on my United support?

      You'll never get a United away ticket, season ticket holders go into a lottery for them. Best bet is to get a ticket for the home end and just keep quiet. Done that a few times and it's fine if you're sensible and don't make it obvious.

      Take a break and breathe, you're suffering from information overloaditus. This condition affects 1 in 3 males and usually for whatever reason seems to coincide with the forthcoming opening of the football season.

      wouldn't double up on Utd attack, with no liv/ars/only one city/spurs. Don't like Pogba. Upgrade to Salah/Mane, downgrade Phillips to Atsu. Big front 3 so unbalanced but that's the price you pay I guess (I am the same).

    It seems to have gone cold as an idea but I think both of Tom Carroll and RLC are on for a decent enough season for both to be in our squads and use the money to bolster the rest of our troops.

    Carroll could well be on all manner of set pieces by this weekend.

      Can't see anyone having two 4.5m mids for long. A few cheap players in the 5.5m to 6.5m range always pop up and enable us to go top heavy.
