The ScoutCast – Episode 228 – Countdown

The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

    I know that Everton has some horrible fixtures to start, but I'm really starting to get confused about the lack of Everton players in teams. Other than fixtures, can someone explain to me why? I'm very close to going with Sandro (mostly because I think Rooney is done) and that they are going to score goals, and Pickford is an absolute beast. And with an improved defense, he could be a pretty good deal at 5.0. So, can someone help me out here?

        I should really. I just don't join for I don't believe in stats and like picking players who play well in MOTD etc. Silly I know but I always feel stats will stop me from being instinctive.

      i like it , but maybe if you downgrade Bailly to a 5.5 and upgrade Gray to a 7 it would give you better attacking options as i don't think Gray will do well for a few games

        Don't like two 4.0 defenders. One absentee and you're drawing a blank.

        And personally I think Milner is a bit of a risk considering his price tag. I'd downgrade him and upgrade one of your other defenders. Kolasinac and TAA perhaps if you want to keep Liverpool defensive cover early on.

          I think Milner is still on pens plus he might start early fixtures at midfield under absence of Cout and Lallana.

      not confident abouth chelsea defence but alonso is huge attack threat. and I would worry about jwp nailness but looks like worth taking that risk. mid looks a bit weak but generally I Like it. cheers.
