The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

    You know what lads, I'm tired of fiddling with this over and over again. My team is fairly template, so I'm gonna do something interesting and double SOU and MUN CS as I planned. At least it can work again in GW2 if it doesn't work GW1. (and of course, the classic GW1 wildcard *sigh*)

      Very different. I think the doubles in defence will pay off but not sure on limiting yourself to 3 in midfield. I would rather have 2 up front and 4 in midfield (more options in that position).

          Thanks for the advise. But if you're not playing the 4.5 player then the argument is do you think that the options for 7.0 forwards will beat the options for 7.0 mids? I think that the mids will win that contest hands down.

    I'm not overly happy with Matic and Gabbiadini. I could downgrade Lukaku to Jesus and Bertrand to Stephens and get Firmino in place of Gabbi.

      Really like the defence. Would prefer Milojevic than Matic for 5.0. There's your Palace cover....maybe downgrade Zaha (or swap to Willian) then to upgrade Gabbi. Just an alternative.
