The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

    Anybody has two premium defenders?
    I guess put more money in def is a good move for this season. I can't see any medium price for mid better than Zaha, that's why I just put two premium mid with Zaha and Carroll. Then give more money to def and GK.

    Feedback or comments to this team/plan? Playing 3-4-3 and planning on WC after GW 6

    Best 8.5 GK-duo for the first 6 rounds, so no comment necessary here.

    Walker - Cedric - Dann - Francis - Long
    Dann/Francis rotates pretty well. Walker as a premium defender. Long could be useful in GW

    KDB - Pogba (or Mhktaryan) - Willian - Ward-Prowse - Carroll
    Feel like going for both Mhktaryan and Willian could be too risky regarding pitch-time, so most likely going for Pogba.

    Lukaku - Lacazette - Firmino
    Staying clear of Kane for the first 2 rounds, planning on bringing him in for GW3 vs Burnley at home for Firmino. Thus I have left some $$ itb to add to the flexibility.

    I was set on Foster, but I just can't see them keeping clean sheets..

    Now considering Fab, Bego, and Forster(will need to find .5)

    A) Is Big beg nailed?
    B) Fab has decent fixtures come GW 3/4 onwards (hoping not to use WC till GW 6 or later)
    C) Forster arguably could be the best pick.. But a defender can cover.

    Thoughts appreciated.
