The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

      just picked him up from U-23 just before pre-season. I asked the same question the other day to. He looked good in pre-season hence kept his place. Zaha on the other wing. Just added to FPL this week i think. Overshadowed by Zaha and Benteke i supposed.

    Hi All

    I think I’ve finally settled on this. Seems like a good 1st week team and also stands up for the next couple too. Mu main issue is Mkhitaryan and his potential rotation but having seen his pre-season games, he looks the better option compared to Pogba.

      I had Fabregas at the back end of last season and Conte tended to play him for winnable home games then Matic for tougher games. You could pretty much look at the fixture and say yep, Cesc will start that one. I'd expect the same again with Bakayoko. FPL manager's dream really.
