The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

    When first choosing to go with a 4.0 non playing def: Like the idea of getting a 4.0 who is likely to cover another def you have.

    Heard Long is likely to cover Mee.

    Any other 4.0 defs likely to cover up directly other defs?

      All 4.0 defs cover some starting defender. Otherwise why would they be in the team at all? Like Rangel covers Naughton, but don't get him because of ownership.

      I think aguero is the man to have but it leaves your team unbalanced. I would go A out of those but not a fan of 2 4.5m mids, makes it hard to jump on a mane/kdb if they start well
