The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

      Same team as me.
      I have fab instead of Elliot. So I can rotate keepers.
      Kompany instead of Cahill.
      And Yoshi instead of Cedric (Cedric not nailed to start)

      Solid nailed options are Mee and Naughton.

      Solid options who might be a rotation risk are Francis and Hegazi.

      Options from newly promoted sides who rotate home/away are Lowe and Dunk/Suttner.

      Potentially high-value but short term punt is Alexander-Arnold.

        Because Carroll or Chalobah will be rotated in ignore I have to go 3 at the back. Bertrand Alonso and Kolasnic will start every game for me. So I may as well bank the 0.5 to give more flexibility

    Pretty much comes down to:

    A) DDG and Jesus
    B) Fabianski and Lukaku

    Think I am going with A.

    Scary without Lukaku, but Jesus could be a mighty differential at about 13% ownership in a much more attacking side. And points hopefully supplemented by clean sheets from DDG.
